We've attended the steak night on numerous occasions but unfortunately on this visit, they weren't great with too much gristle on two out of the four which we had ordered. My meal could have been warmer too. However, putting that to one side, the rest...More

Passing through Hawick after a long day with my elderly Mum and not knowing any eateries, we were tired, hungry and glad to spot The Bourtree with parking outside. The restaurant was busy and loud but we found a quiet corner. We ordered two fish...More

I reviewed the Bourtree after my last visit to Hawick. We were again in Hawick for two nights this week and on both we ate at the Bourtree. On both nights the food was good and the portions generous. We enjoyed the curry night and...More

As we were staying practically next door, it was easy to get to. A typical Weatherspoons restaurant, cheap and cheerful. You get what you pay for. Very busy and fro a younger age group it would be ideal.

Hello Thank you for the review. Unfortunately, we have suffered from some faulty plumbing, involving the exit pipe from the kitchen, which burst underneath our flooring without us noticing. The dish washer water and glass wash water has then filled the foundations beneath our flooring,...More

Renovated from an old character building the pub has kept all the qualities of a bygone era. Plenty seating for a drink, good pub grub and don't miss out on their Thursday night Curry Special. Great value for money.

I had a sirloin steak from the Club Steak Night menu and cannot fault either the food, the presentation or the portion size - great value and with a drink included too. Little wonder most of the tables in the main seating area were full!
