We had been here for diner and really enjoyed it. The haggis tower was delicious, as was the highlandburger. The pub offers a great range of whiskys and beer as well. We will come again :)

We ate at the Royal McGregor for dinner after a long day out. Walked right in and were put to a table right away. We all had the steak and ale pie and it was delicious!!! Would definitely recommend going and would love to go...More

We went here for breakfast on both days we spent in Edinburgh. The staff were really friendly and nothing was any trouble for them. We all had the Scottish breakfast and they were happy to add or exclude items as required. They made room for...More

Had dinner here and agree it is the best Haggis tower in Edinburgh. Whisky's are great and staff friendly and informative. Wife had the ribs which were huge and enjoyable. Close to the castle and lots of other tourist things.

Aye, it’s the place I would definitely return to. Tops my chart in the Haggis, Neeps and Tatties in Edinburgh (I have sampled from 7 other places). Waiters are very pleasing and the place is packed, especially during our afternoon visits. Highly recommended

This was my first meal in Edinburgh for 50 years and it was a disappointment. We had haggis and chips and hamburgers and beer .None of them came up to scratch.

Stoped her for a scottish breakfast an early morning. Got served fast, the breakfast was tasty and had a perfect size. Good sausages! The service was also good. A nice place to sit outside and eat a traditional Scottish breakfast, and watch all the people...More

Read a review recommending the Royal McGregor as a good prover of haggis. And they did not disappoint. While it did not come as I had envisioned, but nonetheless it was delicious. The location is a little small so be prepared to wait. But a...More

Old Town
Few Edinburghers live in the Old Town, but its
labyrinth of dank alleys and steep streets suggests
this was not always the case. Today, it’s mostly
visitors, tartan-flavoured souvenir shops, and pipers
that you’ll find on its cobbled streets. This is the
place to get a feel for Auld Reekie (Old Smelly), as
the town was once nicknamed, and stroll the Royal
Mile, the thoroughfare that links the castle with the
