It's a small popular restaurant so would advise booking in advance. Service was OK, food was amazing. You have your usual fajitas, burritos but it's the traditional Mexican dishes i would recommend. I had a gorgeous lamb dish with honey and universally agreed by the table that it was delicious. Would recommend

I have visited several times with my wife and with my son on separate trips to the city. Knowing that it is always busy (and this visit being during the six nations) I booked a table in advance. I called past earlier to double check my booking time, and we proceeded to find a suitable hostelry (if you've been in... More

As a couple who both love Mexican food we had or hopes high after finding this restaurant and reading the recent reviews, the restaurant has a nice feel however is small and tables are cramped in, loved the table covers though. We booked a table for 8pm and I'm glad we did because other people walked in and we're turned... More

A very traditional (vegetarian friendly) Mexican restaurant. I really loved the atmosphere, the music, the small restaurant with all traditional Mexican decorating. The food was lovely really hearty and filling! I went for the vegetable enchiladas with churros to finish perfect!

Came here for lunch and dropped in. Seemed we were lucky to get a seat and are really glad we did. The staff were good, the food was super great. Definitely not the last trip.

It really is a small space with a lot of tables for the size of it. Has more dishes to offer than the standard burrito, enchilada etc. I had a diablo which had a really good kick to it. Food was very good and freshly cooked. Service is OK but not outstanding considering the number of tables and staff, and... More

I went to have dinner and I had a Chicken Fajita and a Spicy Vegetables & beans Fajita. The food was ok but nothing extraordinary. With two beers (Sol's) the bill was 31,45£. The waitresses were nice and if I have to say something good about the restaurant is that they offer many different mexicans beers.

The restaurant is small, it's like a living room with quite a lot of tables for the space. However this creates quite a social atmosphere and you can't really help but chat to other people in there! The food is brilliant, by far the best Mexican I've ever had. It's all clearly cooked to order, tastes great and unlike many... More

Staying in New Town

Neighbourhood Profile
New Town
Suits and shopping bags rule the streets of New Town, until after dark when strappy dresses come out to play. This is the city’s central business district with its smaller offices, clothes boutiques, and many of the city’s flashiest restaurants and ritziest clubs. The architecture along roads like George Street helps give it a swank and formal feel: it’s a planned Georgian development of regal townhouses, geometric squares, and self-important statues. But it’s also a very wanderable neighbourhood, with a healthy bustle at almost any time of day and fine people-watching in places like St Andrew's Square which fills with picnickers around lunch. You’ll also find a series of cheerful basement bistros on Hanover Street, while dark Rose Street has something of the feel of an undiscovered back alley and is chock-full of characterful pubs and small independent shops.
