Have been a loyal customer since first year of my uni. The food quality is above average and the price is reasonable.

I've been to this place so many times, ordered so many different things, and every time I have left with so much happiness and difficult to walk out. This place is fantastic, and I've made it a weekly institution hard to quit. You should just go. a) Everything has an amazing taste in massive portions, and believe me: really explored... More

Tried a good range of different malaysian food there, both malay malaysian and chinese malaysian. The only dish thay we thoroughly enjoyed was prawn soup noodle. The rest ie. nasi goreng, hokkien noodles, hakka claypot rice, curry noodles, char koay tiao, etc are average. Not bad if you want to have a little taste and insight of Malaysian food, but... More

We have been here a few times and perhaps it was the dishes we opted for this occasion - felt it was standard fare on this occasion. However good value for lunch - £6.20 for rice /pork dish.

My family & I have for several years been visiting the sister restaurant in Fountainbridge. It was always fun, bright and friendly. It sadly closed some months ago, so we tried the Clerk St one. The food certainly tastes just as good, and I do realise it is apparently Malaysian street food, but unlike the Fountainbridge place there is no... More

This place is a bit run down but it's good authentic food at cheap prices. Noodles come in a massive bowl and is very popular with Asians which is a good sign. Cheap prices so good value for money

A family meal out and all 5 of us raved about our food. This is not an extravagantly decorated restaurant and I'm so glad it isn't as all the focus is on the food. There was no food envy as everyone was delighted with their choice! The roti cenai is delicious as were the ribs and wings. All the mains... More

Great surprise. So happy we found this. Doesn't look particularly amazing but the food is very authentic Malaysian and absolutely delicious. Very few Europeans which confirms the authenticity. Staff is friendly and great value for money. Will be back very soon.

Thank Kristina A

Staying in Southside & Holyrood

Neighbourhood Profile
Southside & Holyrood
Many of Edinburgh’s student hangouts gather around university buildings in Southside, the sort of neighbourhood that supports a long string of second-hand shops and eateries serving ethnic food for just a few pounds. In August the student population is replaced by vast numbers of boisterous visitors here for the Fringe, Edinburgh’s world-class comedy and arts festival which headquarters itself here. Flanking Southside are two great parks. The Meadows is a vast flat and sporty space where football, rugby, tennis, cricket, croquet, and golf often all take place side by side. Kids in its big playgrounds add to the joyful noise. Far bigger and much wilder, Holyrood Park extends to the east and provides a real hike up Arthur’s Seat, but the district is best known as the site of Scotland’s Parliament and its premier Royal Palace—and their steady stream of sightseers.
