All round a very good meal. The Ship has a very pleasant interior which creates a warm, cosy atmosphere. Friendly staff were on hand with a cheery welcome. All our seafood dishes were well cooked and plentiful; calamari perfectly cooked, nice prawn cocktail, and very well done lobster and hake. There's one starter and one main course for non seafood... Marvellous, Wonderful, Lovely, All superlatives--- thoroughly deserved. This restaurant will probably never achieve Michelin Star status especially with the Kitchin and Wishart so close but in all honesty it should never be the yardstick that a brilliant seafood restaurant should be measured by. We had the hot seafood platter which consisted of Lobster, Crab, Mussels, Langoustines, Clams, Prawns.......and chips!! Yes... More

Good, unfussy bar and restaurant on the waterfront. We ate in the bar which is pretty much an extension of the restaurant itself and on a Friday night it was lively, staff friendly and confident. Menu is seafood classics at prices that are certainly not a bargain, but not eye watering. Wine list is sensible and most popular wines are... More

Helpful, welcoming, pleasant staff. The food was genuinely of the highest quality as was the service. To find any negative point would be submitting to nit-picking. We would certainly return and recommend it to others.
