Reserved a window table for Sunday lunch after visiting HMY Britannia. Enjoyed a delicious seafood platter and large bowl of hot mussels to start, then fish 'n chips and a seafood pie for mains. Each dish was generous, well presented and tasty. Service was prompt and courteous. All in all a very satisfying visit, to be recommended!

We were very well looked after in The Ship. Eggs Benedict was delicious - best for a while. I had the sweet potato rosti, black pudding and poached egg. Wow, loved this dish.

Took the family for an evening meal, one of the young adults is a vegetarian, and was looked after with good choices. All enjoyed their choices and we were well looked after by the staff, a very pleasant dining experience. Ambience and location very good. Parking can be difficult.

Third visit to this fabulous restaurant in Leith and seems to get better and better. Excellent atmosphere, good service and even better food! Fresh, simple and tasty seafood served elegantly alongside quality sides make for a winning combination; good wines on offer as well - although a little pricey but for a special occasion it really is a great place... Like the comment below I was at The Ship On The Shore with my wife on Saturday 4th February. My wife and I both ended up with food poisoning, being violently sick and off work for 3 days. I have submitted a complaint and the manager Claire is the most unhelpful and disrespectful person I have dealt with in a... More

My partner had heard of the "fruits de mer royale" platter from here and he was desperate to try it, I myself am not a great lover of seafood, but that changed as soon as the dish was brought out! It is huge and has everything from oysters to lobster to salmon you name it, it's probably on there! The... More

The place is very small, you can't even move and the staff is unprofessional:they dont smile, one of the waitress stood there and didn't even come to take out dished;when I called her she pretended she didn't see me.
