We've ordered sirloin steak, fish n chips n couple of drinks at around 6pm. Service was quick n foods were served in a short while. Hot n yummy food. If not for inattentive service when we ordered the dessert, we'd give them five stars.

My partner had the steak pie and it was fine. I had the Cullen Skink, a potato leek and smoked haddock chowder and it was amazing! So fresh and massive pieces of perfect smoked haddock, highly recommend!

Had the specials - steak and roast of the day (pork). Absolutely top notch and best food we have had in the U.K. Do yourself a favour.

Nice pub on the Royal Mile. Tasty hamburger and spouse loved his fish and chips. We took a tiny table in the front but I noticed later there were booths with more space off the back. Would go back.

I just stopped here for a break from shopping and had a flight of whisky (3). The staff accommodated my request at substituting a whisky they were out of with another of similar type. Whisky menu was decent to large and covered all the regions.

We stayed for weekend in apartment above this bar and this was a great place to return to at the end of the day, good selection of beers and whisked which suited us really well. Friendly staff and clientele

In Edinburgh for the weekend, we were looking for somewhere to eat, it was around 8pm and we hadn't reserved a table anywhere. We wanted to eat reasonably local food, so tried a few pub but most were fully booked. The one was pretty full...More

Old Town
Few Edinburghers live in the Old Town, but its
labyrinth of dank alleys and steep streets suggests
this was not always the case. Today, it’s mostly
visitors, tartan-flavoured souvenir shops, and pipers
that you’ll find on its cobbled streets. This is the
place to get a feel for Auld Reekie (Old Smelly), as
the town was once nicknamed, and stroll the Royal
Mile, the thoroughfare that links the castle with the
