So nice to find a range of Vegan options for my wife. Service was most friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed the pies. (Quite filling!) Very reasonably priced for an easy lunch option where one doesn't have a lot of time, just wish to take in...More

This is a great place to stop and grab a delicious pie or two for a quick meal. There are a couple tables and a counter so consider stopping to grab and go. We especially loved the potato roll.

The pies there are really, really good. A very convenient location, too. But the best part of Piemaker is the piemaker--Petros (Bart)-- who was so friendly, fun, informative, helpful, and kind that we went back several times during our four-day stay in Edinburgh. Thanks, Petros!!...More

This place has lots of good pies, but their scotch pies were excellent. It is a perfect spot for cheap eats on the go. Would definitely go again.

We stopped in for a quick bite (there are only limited high-top seats anyway). We'd heard about the macaroni pie and had to try it. I couldn't believe that the prices were only 1-2 pounds per pie. Not just that, but the pie was every...More

We had 4-5 individual snacks from the Piemaker. The small quick bites were yummy and filling, just what you want as Snack or quick lunch. All kinds of pastries are available. The establishment is small. The help is helpful in choosing between a dozen options!...More

Don't expect much - this place is a stand-up eat your pie sort of place. But they are SO good and SO cheap. Great fast food, or for late-night indulging.

Piemaker has a variety of warm pies and they're all cheap. 2 or 3 will easily fill you up for lunch. Definitely a good choice for a quick lunch.

The pies were okay for the price. But the owner was pretty rude to a group of girls who were having trouble ordering. Would recommend getting them to take away.

Old Town
Few Edinburghers live in the Old Town, but its
labyrinth of dank alleys and steep streets suggests
this was not always the case. Today, it’s mostly
visitors, tartan-flavoured souvenir shops, and pipers
that you’ll find on its cobbled streets. This is the
place to get a feel for Auld Reekie (Old Smelly), as
the town was once nicknamed, and stroll the Royal
Mile, the thoroughfare that links the castle with the
