Visited at the recommendation of our friends who live just nearby. Fantastic pizza, have tried many pizza places in Edinburgh and so far this one wins. It was BYOB with a cosy and very relaxed atmosphere.

Have made numerous visits to Cafe Artista in the last few months allowing time to work through an extensive menu and enjoying every meal. My wife an I have visited many Italian restaurants in Edinburgh and elsewhere. This is the best so far. The atmosphere is great and the staff friendly. On a warm night eating out front is just... Extremely delicious food at great prices. There is a wide range of different pizzas, along with pasta dishes etc etc. The staff are also very friendly and attentive. Would love to visit again

As darkness fell on Wednesday 10th August, myself along with thirteen friends descended upon the 'BYOB' hotspot that was Café Artista. With 8 litres of random beverages and little knowledge about what the meal would have in store, we sat down. The menu is extensive and there was not even a corkage charge on the drink- very impressive. The pizzas... More

Reluctantly left the festival burgers for pizza, pasta and lemon tart with friends. Haven't had better Italian food in the UK, and the service was sweet and beautiful l; )

Got pizza and caneloni and they were both very well cooked, tasty and authentic. It is an unassuming place but went after recommendation and it was 100% worth it.

Bruno and his team pull it off again. We had a wonderful meal last weekend. The food was brilliant and they let you bring in your own drinks ( small corkage ). The service was first class and of course you get the eclectic atmosphere for free. Definitely one to visit and just a 20 minute walk from the centre.

I only live round the corner, I've been in for coffee and the odd snack but never eaten an evening meal here. Why ? No idea , it's easily the equal of other good Italian restaurants in town, you can BYO - wineshops and supermarket s all around, and should it be a rare warm night sit outside, slightly removed... My sons visit Cafe Artista regularly with their dad and my younger wanted his 12th birthday lunch there. Bruno and his staff were super-accommodating, the pizzas were hot and delicious (as usual) and they even provided ice cream to go with my home-made birthday cake. As all the guests were local, it proved to be the perfect central eatery, and... More
