Amazing food, service without fault, owner and parents present, serving and maintaining high standards, felt like I was back in Rome as the food was such high quality, competitively priced, we managed to secure a table without booking during the busy festival period as the...More

Such a great little find! The food was delicious - black ravioli with scallops and king prawns - and was a good portion size. The atmosphere and decor were great but the real appeal for me was the lovely service. From the minute we walked...More

A really lovely evening in an authentic Italian restaurant. Pasquale was so friendly, as was his son Gerardo and staff. The food was excellent! Thank you for making my husband's birthday fantastico!

The atmosphere of a real Italian family restaurant makes it an inviting place. A very friendly and fast service, but the food is only average. I had the caprese as a starter. The tomatoes were not ripe, the mozzarella an industrial quality, the arugula was...More

Have regularly visited Frizzante many times over the past few years and the service is always super friendly and very attentive. The selection of Italian dishes is excellent and the quality of the food is great as well. My personal favourite is the home made...More

The food is overpriced... £9 for 2 peppercorn sauces to accompany steak when one would have easily done both of us. Portion size poor. I didn't enjoy the customer service and did not feel comfortable during my visit here. The decor is lovely.

A family run Italian restaurant with excellent friendly service. The food for me, however, is not as great as some of the reviewers seem to find it. It is standard Italian restaurant fare - good but not oustanding in any way. There is a fair...More

Brilliant service, thank you Olivia. Food was unbelievable. Prices were as good if not cheaper as any other Italians in Edinburgh. In fact this restaurant is a gem in Lothian Road and all the staff deserve all the good things that comes with the effort...More

Edinburgh was no exception, with its wealthiest
citizens settling in its West End and leaving behind
grand Georgian townhouses, private gardens and genteel
