On a whim we bought theatre tickets and needed to eat before the show. Everywhere else close by said we needed to have a reservation so we waited for a table here as the waitress said we shouldn't have to wait that long and we didn't. Great meal, served in good time to get to theatre on time.

Was there with a large group (13) so that was chosen as easy to accommodate a number of people. Chicken was ok, but the grilled hallomi was to die for.. would go back for the hallomi

Visited for a late dinner after doing a ghost tour. Service was great and speedy. Food was of the expected quality. Overall it was a great Nando's.

We visited today and it was mobbed. Always a good sign when you visit a restaurant! When our food finally arrived, the chicken was lukewarm. Very disappointing, although it still tasted amazing. Would have been perfect if it was warm!

Good seating with nice service. The food is delicious. I ordered off the bone spicy chicken and the chicken liver was delicious.

We discovered Nando's in Glasgow and found it to be an inexpensive, tasty meal while traveling. The food at this location was almost as good(fries were a bit soggy). My main objection was the restaurant seemed not as clean as the one in Glasgow. The table was sticky and the sauce bottles looked like they needed a good cleaning. Still,... More

Well, i have heard a lot about Nando's just never about what kind of food it was! Now i know! Its yummy chicken however it was really spicy. My husband and I really enjoyed the food. When we ordered, one of the girls didn't really give me the time of day. Granted i am the uneducated tourist, but it would... More

Delicious food. We ate here twice. The second time was on a Friday night. Never again. I should have known better. But, the food was still good. Just slow service. Quick and efficient service when we went for lunch. Located super close to the National Museum. So, it was a convenient stop, too!

Chicken does not need to be boring and Nandos have it down to an art form. The four of us left really full to be honest i left food on my plate as the portions are big. The only thing i felt wrong was it was very cold up stairs i had my jacket on to keep me warm until... More

Staying in Old Town

Neighbourhood Profile
Old Town
Few Edinburghers live in the Old Town, but its labyrinth of dank alleys and steep streets suggests this was not always the case. Today, it’s mostly visitors, tartan-flavoured souvenir shops, and pipers that you’ll find on its cobbled streets. This is the place to get a feel for Auld Reekie (Old Smelly), as the town was once nicknamed, and stroll the Royal Mile, the thoroughfare that links the castle with the royal palace – two of Edinburgh’s great set-piece attractions. But there’s lots more exploring to do here down dozens of little alleys, or wynds, while at night the city’s busiest clubs erupt along the Cowgate which is closed to traffic for this purpose.
