Nice variety and very pleased with the service. We came in around lunch time and asked to reserve space for 24 at dinner. They went out of their way to accommodate us. We had a lovely meal.

Huge selection of American cuisine - excellent service, decor, and pancakes! Located in a prime location on the Royal Mile, The Filling Station is ideal to fuel your whole day in the city. Mid-range prices, but worth every penny :) P.S - the 'Breakfast Feast' is a must

I'm the type of person that gets a burger in every restaurant. This is defiantly the best burger I have had. It's fresh and beautifully made. The service is fast to seat you and friendly when being served - don't forget your ID if you want drinks (strict). So unfortunate that they don't have more or any in England! Worth... More

I meet my daughter in Edinburgh after she finished working in France for 4 months. All she said she wanted to eat was American pancakes. This restaurant was just up the street from our hotel, so in we went. She ordered her pancakes and I had and egg over medium, hash browns and crispy bacon. It took a long time... More

Description
Filling Station coast to coast American restaurant and bar, has been created by a team of people who genuinely love good quality food, drinks and good times! No doubt you're thinking, well doesn't everybody want that? It's true many people do, but we have genuinely struggled to find somewhere that actually delivers all of these things. So our solution was simple - let's do it ourselves, the result is Filling Station.

When it's cooked well using fabulous ingredients, nothing beats authentic American food. Very few can resist a cocktail mixed by a real bartender who knows exactly how to blend flavours to achieve a perfect balance of strong, weak, sharp and sweet

Staying in Old Town

Neighbourhood Profile
Old Town
Few Edinburghers live in the Old Town, but its labyrinth of dank alleys and steep streets suggests this was not always the case. Today, it’s mostly visitors, tartan-flavoured souvenir shops, and pipers that you’ll find on its cobbled streets. This is the place to get a feel for Auld Reekie (Old Smelly), as the town was once nicknamed, and stroll the Royal Mile, the thoroughfare that links the castle with the royal palace – two of Edinburgh’s great set-piece attractions. But there’s lots more exploring to do here down dozens of little alleys, or wynds, while at night the city’s busiest clubs erupt along the Cowgate which is closed to traffic for this purpose.
