Came for a late lunch with my family. The food was delicious but what made the visit extra great was our server Maggie! She was lovely, funny and nothing was too much bother for her. Thank you so much for a great meal!!

Myself and my partner came here for dinner twice whilst we were in Edinburgh. Absolutely loved it both times. For a starter we shared the dough balls. You get green pesto, red pesto and butter with them. Gorgeous. Then for a pizza i got pepperoni and added on onions. Forget what pizza my partner got but he loved his Italian... More

I went here with the kids and my husband. We were met by a cranky Waiter who decided setting tables in an empty restaurant was his priority. Eventually we were seated and handed five Menus- there was a kids menu that we eventually Asked for. It turns out that they Colm their pasta al forno- the problem with this is... More

I know it is a chain, but it has been a favorite of mine since I first began visiting the UK almost 20 years ago. The pizza is delicious (I order the Hot (spicy) American). The garlic dough balls are also delicious -- and the chocolate cake is worth the calorie splurge.

I so wish we had Pizza Express in Australia. The food was great, generous but not over the top, very clean and friendly. We loved the quirky options like dough balls and pizza with the salad in the middle

We love pizza express as the children can't get enough of the dough balls and they are always kept busy which the activity packs! I love the mini puddings with your coffee which are just perfect for a little sweet taste!

Thank sam s

Staying in Old Town

Neighbourhood Profile
Old Town
Few Edinburghers live in the Old Town, but its labyrinth of dank alleys and steep streets suggests this was not always the case. Today, it’s mostly visitors, tartan-flavoured souvenir shops, and pipers that you’ll find on its cobbled streets. This is the place to get a feel for Auld Reekie (Old Smelly), as the town was once nicknamed, and stroll the Royal Mile, the thoroughfare that links the castle with the royal palace – two of Edinburgh’s great set-piece attractions. But there’s lots more exploring to do here down dozens of little alleys, or wynds, while at night the city’s busiest clubs erupt along the Cowgate which is closed to traffic for this purpose.
