The food here is outstanding. I particularly loved the Aubergine, chick pea and cashew koftas (yum!) I always say that I could never be a vegetarian but if I lived near here I would be there all the time!

Ate here with my veggie husband during a recent trip to Edinburgh and if only there were more restaurants like this I could be persuaded to give up meat! The koftas main course had excellent texture and flavours, but the dessert was my absolute highlight...More

This restaurant offered an great selection of vegetarian dishes in a comfortable and intimate setting. I had the Thai noodles with veg and grilled tofu. Excellent! Our server was top notch. I would definitely return here the next time I'm in Edinburgh!

Decided to come back here after a long absence as we were heading to Dynamic Earth just down the road to see a show. My wife and I are both vegetarian and have been for many years now. David Bann's was always the "go to"...More

Old Town
Few Edinburghers live in the Old Town, but its
labyrinth of dank alleys and steep streets suggests
this was not always the case. Today, it’s mostly

that you’ll find on its cobbled streets. This is the
place to get a feel for Auld Reekie (Old Smelly), as
the town was once nicknamed, and stroll the Royal
Mile, the thoroughfare that links the castle with the

I went without a reservation but that was a Tuesday evening and there were only a couple of tables free, I would recommend booking.
