This was our first visit to this great Mexican restaurant. We have been to quite a few Mexican restaurants in Edinburgh over the years, but this is really one of the best. The atmosphere was great and the staff pleasant and attentive. The food was absolutely fantastic and all six of us had different mains and all really enjoyed them.... More

We visited here on a weekend trip to Edinburgh. We enjoyed a really nice meal and would recommend it. The burrito's were enormous and very tasty. Cocktails were delicious, treat yourself! Staff are friendly, helpful and the service is really good.

Went here on our first evening in Edinburgh. From the outside it looks like a small intimate restaurant. Once inside and a trip to the loo you realise it is really quite big. The atmosphere is intimate though. The staff are very friendly and it is difficult to tell which accent they are trying to talk with. 😂 the food... More

A trip to Edinburgh and the Grassmarket area and we found this great Mexican restaurant for lunch. We went for the fixed price lunch and what great value it was at £12.50 for three courses! But no skimping on the quality of the food and service. Don't mis this little gem if you are in the area.

Staying in Old Town

Neighbourhood Profile
Old Town
Few Edinburghers live in the Old Town, but its labyrinth of dank alleys and steep streets suggests this was not always the case. Today, it’s mostly visitors, tartan-flavoured souvenir shops, and pipers that you’ll find on its cobbled streets. This is the place to get a feel for Auld Reekie (Old Smelly), as the town was once nicknamed, and stroll the Royal Mile, the thoroughfare that links the castle with the royal palace – two of Edinburgh’s great set-piece attractions. But there’s lots more exploring to do here down dozens of little alleys, or wynds, while at night the city’s busiest clubs erupt along the Cowgate which is closed to traffic for this purpose.
