This was our first lunch date since my mum had been shielding so naturally she was nervous at the whole new experience. We pre booked through the app which was easy so all trace and protect was done before we arrived. On arrival there was plenty of hand gel etc and disposable menus. We were shown to our table which now had new perspex screens between the booths so mum felt comfortable enough. Our waitress arrived quickly and as always was polite and friendly. She spotted mum's "mask exempt" lanyard and they chatted as the waitress also couldn't wear them but she had a face visor instead. Food was ordered and arrived quickly... hot and delicious as always. The steak pie is a favourite. Waitress looked after us and created a great relaxed experience which allowed my mum to enjoy the lunch and ease any nerves. Thank you. Be back soon. :)

My daughter and I called into 7 kings for bunch. They went above and beyond to accommodate us as we came in during breakfast time my daughter didn’t like anything on the menu so they let her order from the lunch menu before 12pm. Lovely service with a smile

Really Tasty food, really enjoyed the steak and ale pie and bbq pulled pork Sharing nachos. The service from Conna was very good, he made sure we had everything we needed and was very attentive and friendly. Will definitely be back.

First girls get together after lockdown and sad to say was pretty disappointed. Ordered sharing nachos and halloumi fries at £5.29, the fries came which initially we thought was just a sauce then on closer inspection realised it was the fries but only four of them. Queried this as thought this can't be right to be told "hallouimi is expensive" So four chips and five people to share them! Then our last round of drinks I ordered a small bottle of prosecco, when it was put down on the table I immediately noticed it had some out of it and the seal was broken, said to the barman that has been opened, he looked at it and said oh so it has I'll get you another, what if I hadn't noticed. Sorry to say we won't be rushing back.

My husband has a soy and lactose allergy, we downloaded the Green King App, as advised by the server. The only dish he could have, without soy or lactose, was the chick pea curry. My husband had this, but later had a reaction to the curry, therefore there must have been soy or lactose in the curry! Green King need to double check their allergons menu because, quite often soy or soya, is actually hidden under another name. Will not be back!

Arrived expecting a pleasant afternoon. How wrong we were. The staff are rude and clearly racist, as soon as they heard our accents we would be ignored. It took at least 10 minutes to be served the couple of times we ordered drinks at the bar. Being overlooked and ignored. After waiting a further 20 minutes to order food we were left bitterly disappointed. Having waited nearly 40 minutes to arrive it was mostly cold and of a poor quality. The majority of our party left most of the food on the plates. When the staff eventually came to our table to remove the plates the Scot in the party commented that he felt ashamed that we were treated so badly. The staff member just smirked. This seemed to be a running theme with the Belhaven places in the city. Avoid this place at all costs.

We generally visit once a week to enjoy a late lunch, as the quality of food is consistently excellent, combined with great service from Sean and his fine staff.
It’s also good to have the discount which makes the cost very attractive and competitive with other restaurants in the area.

I went for lunch with my sister. Ordered at the bar from the lunch menu which states lunch dish, chips and a drink for £8.49. The meal came and after around five minutes I went to the bar to ask where our chips were. Waiter was very helpful and said he was going to ask in the kitchen. The waitress who took my order came out of the kitchen and loudly said "she never asked for chips "
' I was in last week with my daughter had the same meal and the chips just came without asking. The other waitress who dealt with us was very apologetic and the issue was resolved but I don't think a waitress should be glaring at a customer saying "she never ordered chips" when I wasn't aware Thad to order them. Perhaps if someone is ordering from the lunch menu as a courtesy ask if they would like chips. It's such a shame because we all like going for lunch on a regular basis. I also did waitressing for years and would have never have spoken out like that in front of a customer.

Hello Linda thanks for taking the time to review us on trip advisor and making me aware of your dissatisfaction, it really helps me see when there is a training and of course customer service issue. We should be asking if you would like chips or fries with your lunch deal and letting the customer know what drink is available on the deal too as I believe the drinks you had purchased were not on the deal either. My wife and I come to the Seven Kings for lunch or dinner.
The staff are great.
However, we find opening times are NOT consistent.
We arrived at 10am for Breakfast on Saturday 22nd July to find the doors closed.
If Breakfast starts at 10am the doors should be open prior to this.
This was a regular occurrence prior to the new renovations, please don't continue in the same fashion.

Found our own way to our booked table, there was nothing to indicate that you had to go to the bar to order and pay, but eventually we worked it out, then we had to make 2 or 3 trips backwards and forwards to put our drinks on the table, (water was in a horrible plastic jug), then you have to trail back to the bar to order your meal. Eventually it arrived and was quite disappointing really, fish was greasy, burger just OK and the Katsu Curry was not good at all. A large blob of dark glutinous sauce over the chicken tasted like too strong a gravy mix with some spice/curry added to it! This trailing up to the bar every time you wanted something is not relaxing and enjoyable. No one came and asked if everything was OK nor were all the dirty glasses cleared from the table at any point, we left a tableful! We used to go here a lot but certainly will not be back, no atmosphere, no staff looking after you, just a feeling that you are on your own and if you need anything go and get it yourself, didn't seem to be any sign of management. Didn't leave a tip as we felt there had been no service, we had done it all ourselves!

Party of 5. 1 person was served within half a hour but the other 4 waiting 45 minutes. Eventually served when complained at bar by which time first served was finished his meal. not so much as a apology offered. Poor service.

We had a table booked for 8.45 for drinks. When we arrive ‘Track and Trace’ was completed and hand sanitiser was readily available. Tables were also well spaced out and clean.
Asked if it was possible to have some food as we had a disaster at another Dunfermline restaurant. Staff were excellent in assisting and the food arrived piping hot. Wine was also lovely and cold. Excellent value for money.
All in all excellent service and we all felt safe dining out. We will be back for another friends night out!

Far too busy for our liking on a saturday afternoon. Not a table to be had and eventually when some kid that was playing on his own was moved by his parents we got a table. The smell coming from the kitchen was of a deep fat fryer and the food was mediocre at best. Glad I had the Katsu Chicken because it smelt lovely. The place was noisy and overpriced. Ended up going up the road for better prices.

It was our local children’s gala day this weekend and with us being directly opposite the park in which it is held and with it being such nice weather, we were incredibly busy and it was also very warm. We chose the Seven Kings as it is dog friendly and situated right next to pittencrieff Park.
We ordered a traditional breakfast and a big breakfast ( from brunch menu 10-12)
The breakfasts were delicious.
Service is excellent, both Ladies who served us were friendly and attentive.
Dogs are very welcome with water and treats available if you want them.
We will definitely return, thank you

My friends and I went out for lunch and drinks on Saturday, and after seeing how busy it was, we got a shock! That being said, we entered and were greeted by two lovely young floor staff who found us a table and got us seated.
I’ve not seen it so busy in a long time, and despite the team being visibly busy, both on the floor and behind the bar, we were served quickly and the staff genuinely spent time with us going over our options and explaining that there would be a wait for food due to business, understandable!
Despite it being so busy and waiting for food, we thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere, sound of laughter, and having an excuse for a blether. Keep it up, Seven Kings.
