We took advantage of an Itison promotion and although we have had occasions where we have not received the same level of service with this type of offer, this was certainly not the case at Rufflets. The menu offered a good choice of dishes and the food was cooked to perfection and well presented. Service was fast, professional and efficient.... More

This is a 4 star hotel so we chose to go for lunch. 2 Courses only £14.50 3 courses only £17.50... I would say the quality was very average would willingly pay more for better. Service was amazingly slow..led to a lounge with menus to decide on bar or restaurant..no requests for drinks. Chose restaurant and handed the same menus... More

The restaurant has a lovely setting with views over the fantastic gardens. The menu on offer although small had enough to satisfy all of us. The food arrived well presented and was absolutely delicious. A choice of freshly made bread rolls were a lovely touch. Coffee was served in the lounge sitting on comfortable sofas. A very relaxed lunch. The... More

We had afternoon tea last saturday. now, I love my afternoon tea and have been made to loads of different venues. My favourite to date has been butterfly and pig on bath street in Glasgow for the quality of the sandwiches and cakes. However, it has now been surpassed by rufflets. the location is beautiful and the library room where... More

Enjoyed a lovely Valentine dinner with first class food. From the welcome when we arrived, to our departure, the quality of service was exceptional. The amuse bouche of scallop on a crouton with pineapple salsa was very good, as was the bread. I chose scallops with pomegranate & hazelnut garnish to start, then had a twice cooked cheese soufflé served... More

Went for afternoon tea at Rufflets and we were immediately impressed by the entrance and lobby. It was all downhill from there. The staff weren't bad, but just didn't seem all that bothered that they had customers in. The waitress asked on at least 3 occasions about allergies, (once would have been enough) but disappeared with items not served and... More

Took my parents and son here today for lunch to celebrate mum's 80th as she has always wanted to dine at Rufflets. Great choice! The food was fab, in fact my son declared it the best tasting meal he had ever had. The staff were just delightful - cheery, helpful, obliging and attentive without being intrusive. Couldn't fault it. We'll... More

Description
We strive to provide a range of fabulous dishes, using the best of local produce, handled with passion, care and knowledge. The elegant, relaxing and spacious 2AA Rosette Terrace Restaurant offers a seasonally changing a la carte menu. At Rufflets, we spend much time sourcing the ingredients for our menus - working with local small producers within the region, to find the very best of what is available. We are also proud to be able to boast "zero food miles" for the herbs, vegetables and soft fruits grown in our grounds. Chef David Kinnes and our gardener, Phil Harper, work together to supply the kitchen with an eclectic range of fresh produce all year round. All this effort has been recognised by VisitScotland who awarded 'Taste our Best' for use of Scotlands' Larder, presentation, quality and service standards. To complement your meal, our wonderful cellar offers an eclectic choice of wines from around the globe, including an extensive selection of half bottles and wines by the glass.
