One of the best Indian Restaurants in the area continually providing good food and service although prices are probably more expensive than others in the area particularly for takeaways.

We have used this restaurant many times now over the years, mainly for our local Indian takeaway. However, I don't know what's happened over the last year or so. Twice in the last 6 months, they have forgotten a portion of rice with our takeaway....More

I live within 200 yards of this restaurant so would like it to be good but it isn't. Haggis pakora stank and was clearly off, threw it straight in bin. Chana puri was quite tasty but the puri was like leather and portion tiny. Overcharged...More

A welcoming place to sit in or take away. My family have been using this restaurant for take away and dining in for 20 years; and it still lives up to it’s great reputation. We visited in a large party over Christmas and were very...More

I ordered two carry out meals which were really disappointing. Firstly, they tried to charge me £10 too much, and when I queried it they immediately knocked it off the bill saying ' that was my discount now applied', bringing the price to what I...More

Our visit on Christmas Eve, for the second year running, produced food of an outstanding quality. The New Turban must do the best vegetable pakora and unusually a really tasty haggis pakora, which I know lots of people love. We had a mixture of starters...More

Description
The New Turban is a relaxed Indian restaurant in the heart of Glasgow’s Southside. It is well situated, close to Eastwood theatre, but also not far from the City, making this a popular, easy-going venue for both businesspeople and families, with pre- and post-theatre sittings.First opened in 1982, the restaurant was an immediate success. At that time, it was among only a handful of fine dining establishments in Glasgow, it was also one of the first to bring an authentic tandoor oven into the commercial kitchen. Now under new management, with the original family taking over, it will be celebrating its 30th anniversary! with a menu that resurrects the time it first opened. So, Whether it’s for pre-theatre or dinner, we invite you to enjoy The New Turban’s celebrated menu.
