We had a late-night snack here one night and the brunch the last day of our stay. The super food salad and the capresi pizza made a perfect light snack. There was a good variety of breakfast choices available for the brunch.

Went in for a coffee with my mum and dad. Fairly busy and my dad asked a waitress if it was waitress service or pay at the bar. She rudely replied she was too busy and walked away. We sat for about 10 minutes and had to leave as we were getting no where. Won't be back due to cheeky... More

Such a shame as hotel is lovely to stay in but the food is quite bland. Had chicken starter which was ok. Then husband had the burger which was nice enough and I had the club sandwich which tasted of nothing really, not really seasoned and had no egg on it. It's a shame but won't rush back. Staff were... Needed a quick bite and was pleasantly surprised by the excellent food and friendly service that we got at the City Cafe. Highly recommended.

Like another reviewer had an early dinner here before Hydro and it was very good. Helpful and friendly staff, good service and nice food.

Went for a meal before a convert at the nearby Hydro. Had a nice drink outside overlooking the river then ate in the restaurant. Service was good and the food excellent. The pulled chicken chirizo burger was really good as was the hot chocolate pudding. Would recommend this if you are going to an event nearby.

We visited the Hilton Garden Hotel which is ideally situated next to the Hydro. This was our first visit to the City Cafe restaurant to sample afternoon tea. Connor our waiter was very friendly, attentive and provided excellent service. All in all an excellent selection of sandwiches, scones and cakes, and we enjoyed a glass of prosecco. You could also... Hotel restaurants can be disappointing. This one was pretty good. I had a burger and they customized it to my liking. My partner had the veggie burger and it was good and really had plenty of veg in it. Very friendly staff. Good choice of beers and wines. Just a really good place for a simple meal done well. Prices... More

We were spending the night in the Hilton Garden Inn so had no reason to look elsewhere for our dinner. I had the deep fried cod, my wife had a chicken curry. We shared a sweet and a bottle white Rioja. All were reasonably priced and most enjoyable and we were served by friendly, sociable staff. No complaints and neither... More
