I've been to Tchai Ovna a few times in the past just for a cup of tea, but recently I came here for food as well and I was not disappointed. My friend and I shared the 'Middle Eastern Platter of Delights' (there were other...More

As a huge tea lover, I'm always looking out for great tea shops when I travel. So far Chai Ovna is the one to beat in Scotland. They have a 20+ page menu of teas from all over the world and loads of information about...More

We sampled a variety of teas which were all delicious. We had a pram with us and the cafe was able to accommodate. There wasn't baby changing facilities so one would need to bring a changing mat with you. We ordered a platter of food...More

This was a great place to sit and have a nice break with friends. The ambiance of the place was awesome as was the tea. I totally recommend the chai. Their food was also great and they had wonderful vegan and veg. options.

Some reviews describe the cafe as dingy but I think the setting gives a mystic eastern feel. Lovely choice of teas. We had Turkish Apple which I have not had since being in Istanbul 20 years ago

Like drinking tea in casbah, this tea shop is a delicious blend of quaint and exotic. The tea is delicious, we had their famed Yogi-yogi tchai which is absolutely sublime. The choice of food whilst limited is delicious. The whole experience is a feast for...More

Visited with a friend a few weeks ago as I'd heard this little cafe being lavished with praise and, as a tea enthusiast, the thought of a hundred or so different types to sample under the one roof was too exciting an opportunity to pass...More

We found this place online a few months ago and it seemed right up our street. Glasgow, like many cities these days, has an over-saturation of coffee houses so it's great to see a place that represents tea lovers in such a nice part of...More

Hi Luke, I am really sorry to hear about your negative experience in the Tchai-Ovna. We will endeavour to do better, I think negative criticism is sometimes more informative than positive - and so yours is extra valuable. Rudeness is not accessible at any point...More

I believe well behaved dogs are welcome in the fairy garden, which has a bench with a heater and blankets for when it is cold. :)
