Went here with a friend. Nice atmosphere, but the food was shockingly poor for the price. Ordered fish and chips for around £11 and got a very small fish in a large amount of over cooked, rock hard batter. A very small amount of what felt like poorly cooked 'supermarket savers oven chips' and a teaspoonful of mushy peas. All... More

We visited today 1st December 2016. Lovely real Ales . But, guys, seriously, sort your toilets out! They are disgusting and the smell of urine is overwhelming. Please get a new cleaner . It is spoiling this pub.

Glad you enjoyed your beer. The toilets are a concern for use to, we will be getting them fully refurbished in the new year. Being below street level mean continual issues with dampness but I'll make sure the cleaners are on the case. Thanks again for your feedback More

Situated close to the heart of this city, this warm and inviting public house serves all forms of beers and spirits along with an excellent choice of food on the menu. All served to an excellent standard. If you are really not sure where to go for something to eat and drink then you can't go very wrong with this... More

We went for lunch. The fish and chips was excellent. Unfortunately, the first beer finished but there were others of a very high standard. Great atmosphere and staff.

Glad you loved our fish and chips, We operate with 5 hand pull ales on at all times when these run out they are replaced usually with a new beer (variety is the spice of life). All the beers come from great breweries and we like to think they are all enjoyable pints! thanks again for your comments More

Dropped in here for a few drinks first Saturday in November whilst waiting on friends and this place never disappoints as it always has a very friendly atmosphere and usually very busy...Strangely, we managed to get a small table next to the fireplace so were out of the way of the bar for a change. I had a couple of... More

Being from Canada, we don't get to see pubs like these very much and this was excellent! They have done a great job of keeping as much originality as possible. Great beer on tap, lagers and ales. Good selection of spirits and wines. Fantastic atmosphere

Came for dinner and enjoyed some scampi from the diverse and reasonably priced menu. Food took a little while to come and was fine without being great. Enjoyed several types of beer served by efficient staff. The pub has good atmosphere with a more traditional clientele and no raucous element on the night we were there. Popular and enough seating... Thank you for your feedback, unlike some other bars all our food is cooked to order meaning the wait can be a little longer. I'm delighted you enjoyed the beers and look forward to seeing you again. More

We went into this busy pub and after a while, what appeared to be the only waitress asked us to sit at a table. We waited a waited, but nobody came to take our order,so we left and went elsewhere. Michael,Nottingham.

First day in Glasgow & looking for a lite bite for lunch. The pub is inviting with a good range of beers etc. I ordered a chicken sandwich ( should have come with avocado & lemon oil)& salad. It arrived as a club sandwich ( which is one of their lunchtime offers & not what I ordered. ) didn't complain... More
