After a long day at conference we didn't fancy dining out so ate in the hotel we were staying in, good honest food at standard gastropub prices. Fish ad ships with plenty of chips, and a burger that tasted definitely home made, only one criticism, why do I get it served in a plank of wood, what happened to plates?... More

My booking for meal for two was confirmed 19/11/16 for Sunday 7.30pm. Great ! Our Anniversary (31) years and so looking forward to Cote de Boeuf + Bottle of wine........as we often share when on holiday in France. As we prepared to leave the house, my phone rang only to be told 'sorry' to inform me that last Cote de... More

My parter and i have booked a table and on arrival the reception lady has showed us where's the restaurant. We walked in and waited around 5min but no sign of waitress, we walked away.... place was totally dead. We were very disappointed.

Enjoyed a tasty meal with pleasant and friendly service and would definately eat here again if staying in this area in the future. We stayed next door at the Hampton so was very convenient. One of our party was in a wheelchair and was helped into the restaurant by considerate staff.

Booked the lunch offer £15.95 for 3 course set menu and a glass of wine. Inside the decor looked modern, fresh and clean. The place was so quiet, except from 1 table with 4 other diners. I had a pork and black pudding for starter, very fatty/chewy. I did enjoy the haddock and chips, the portion size was plentiful. The... More

I had realy nice risotti with excellent Chilian wine, i recommend that for sure. But as for breakfast I must say, that I was surprised by lack of any vegetables. And I dont know why, I had to eat on such a tiny plates :( but I really appreciated that I could order my meal late at evening!

We ate here on a Saturday night out after some fun times drinking gin in Gin71. Arriving at the restaurant it was quiet and seems sparse in decor. Our service was good but there were a couple of issues with asking for our choices when one person was absent from the table and lack of cutlery when presented with our... More

We had an very enjoyable stay at the Abode hotel but did not enjoy the food. The menu included in the deal (Summer Break-overnight stay, Diner & Breakfast) was a bit restricted but there are options to top it up. We ordered steak, which when it arrived was tough and fatty and wasn't cooked to the specified request. I am... More

Just ok. Lacked atmosphere and customers - stark contrast if you have been to the Manchester Abode. Restaurant was 1/3 full but tables too close together making privacy feel unachievable - it was a Saturday.

Thank fred s
