Good food..some interesting alternatives. Great for groups and families but also had lots of smaller tables in a mezzanine type lay-out so not crowded. Fast friendly service and 30% off on Tuesday and Wednesday...large Cider/special main and mushroom rice (all in good size portions - £18, I've paid more for a lot worse take aways

I drove through from Clydebank to get a takeaway from here after having heard good things. Disappointed doesn't even begin to describe our experience. We had mixed pakora which consisted of overcooked and tastleless pieces of vegetable and mushroom pakora mixed in with chicken pakora with uncooked pink pieces throughout. Mains were a lamb karahi bhuna which was bland and... More

We`ve been patrons of the Ashoka for years but, having moved away, hadn`t visited for many months. We booked for Hogmanay night and had a fabulous meal. No hiked up seasonal prices here, just consistently good food and service. Special recommendation goes to the Ashoka Malwa - fairly firey and absolutely stunning!

Three of us had a takeaway. Fish Pakora starters were ok, vegetable pakora very dry and tasteless, chicken pakora was dry. Nan bread was thin, dry and tasteless. Main dishes were far, far too hot and spicy. I ordered a creamy lamb jalfrezi, expecting this to be mild, since there was a spicy option. I had to leave most of... More

We just love this place. We visit it every time we return to visit my mother in law in Bearsden!!! With 30 per cent off Tuesday's and Wednesday's, this is a steal! Well prepared, beautifully presented, decent portions, great staff and fairly priced food and drinks. No reason not to return, as in next Tuesday???

There are usually specials on the board and have tried a few.delicious. the staff are very friendly and happy to help you choose. They can describe in detail any of the dishes so you know if it will suit your palate. The restaurant is very welcoming... More

I have travelled in India and eaten Indian for all over the world and this restaurant should consider going back to basics instead of turning out poor food at expensive prices.. It all looked the same the curry and the dhal lentils were a huge disappointment. I will never be tempted to eat there again and would recommend others do... More

I had a really bad experience where the acting manager hung up on me when I was trying to order my food over the phone. I simply asked what the meal deal included and was about to place my order when the abrupt and rude man just hung up on me and I had to call again. When picking up... More

For special occasions, the Harlequin Suite provides the space and privacy to celebrate with panache. The menu's connoisseur's choice serves up main course options of diced lamb Bombay style, chicken with red peppers, spinach and garam masala, marinated chicken with tomato and black pepper and Himalayan hot pot with lamb or chicken. There's also south Indian garlic chilli chicken bursting with hot and spicy flavours. Sundries of poppadoms, spiced onions, mango pickle and raita keep company along with sides of pilau rice and naan bread.
