We booked this restaurant to celebrate my son's birthday. As it is quite a small restaurant we were able to book the whole venue which meant that the event was very personal and catered to our needs. The pre-preparation was great as was the communication...More

This is a small restaurant but beautifully done, in a kind of classic French way. The food is superb, as it specialises in fish dishes, and we had perfect mains here: sea bream, and sole. It's not ridiculously expensive but it is a special meal...More

I was so disappointed with this place, we booked it for a special occasion. There was no atmosphere, it was very old fashioned and the food was not great, very bland. It was like an old hotel restaurant.

My partner and I decided to sample the Two Fat Ladies in the City. We went for the Pre-theatre which is excellent values (2 courses for £16 and 3 for 18 pounds). Food was fantastic and service was top-notch. My partner started with the cullen...More

Recently had dinner here, and feel disappointed as food was pretty average, with not much choice. The starters were good, but mains not as expected.. scallops overcooked and tiny. Staff were lovely but overall disappointing meal to what we have had before. Not sure if...More

One of my most pleasant dining experiences ever, friendly attentive service in this small but very cozy restaurant. You almost felt like you were sitting in your own dining room, had the venison toast starter and followed by sea bream , dessert the cheesecake. Taste...More

There were 6 of us and we all had different things. It was served delightfully and was great value. We go quite often and the food is always of a high standard and although it is a small restaurant the ambience is friendly and warm.

There are lots of good bars within a few minutes, most are the trendy type and serve good cocktails. The Griffin Bar is a little bit different, looks like an old pub but has a great range of Scottish Gins; worth a try!
