We stopped here for cup of tea but ended up having a cream tea even though it was only 11.30 !! What a beautiful gem of a place. Nestled in the Campsies and decorated with real flair. Very shabby chic but more emphasis on the chic. They not only do food but also local produce, furnishings and nic nacs. Could... More

Ok key points: 1. Beautiful setting and a working farm. 2. Family owned and run, clearly with immense and justifiable pride 3. Interesting and varied menu 4. Food really excellent. Pate' s and cakes reflect all that is best in Scottish country cooking Can be difficult to get a table so plan ahead

Best hot creamy coffee I have ever had. With a warm welcome we were seated. Menu specials explained and cake picked. Sitting in a converted farmhouse with delightful surroundings listening to the little birds chirping away. Wonderful. Not a great variety of food but ok cakes good. You can buy a bottle of real milk pasteurised from that farm delicious.... More

The Courtyard is so pretty with tables spread around three areas, each with a different feel. Fresh from the oven quiche was delicious with a small salad garnish, followed by a Victoria sponge that would surely pass with flying colours at any bake-off. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit and we found the price to be reasonable considering the high quality.

As soon as you step over the threshold the warm and inviting aroma of fresh baking and comfortable, quality furnishings and decor satisfy the senses. We were recommended the Courtyard Cafe by friends and it certainly lives up to its reputation. Family visit to Scotland and was taken to cafe as they liked coming here. We drove through countryside to visit. We ordered cream teas and they were happy to give us our scones the way we asked. They were very tasty and crumbly with lovely tasting jam and cream. The staff were very friendly and the setting was lovely. 😀

Having visited The Courtyard on many occasions, and thoroughly enjoyed the experience I was very disappointed to find that they would not accept a booking for a table for six after 1PM.No explanation was offered other than this is a none negotionable policy despite being a regular customer.

There we were driving leisurely west through the remote Campsie Fells, anticipating at best a packet of crisps and a soft drink in a dowdy pub en route, then we saw a sign to the Courtyard Cafe just off the road entering Fintry. What an unexpected find! A wonderfully located house and gardens, with charming and tastefully decorated interiors, serving... More

In some ways I think we represented a nightmare booking.. Last minute, big party, celebrating a birthday. The courtyard cafe stepped up wonderfully. Thank you for taking us in, serving up delicious food and even singing happy birthday to the birthday girl. You even graciously put up with the hire car with the flat tyre (no spare) and let us... We stopped here for lunch after a lovely drive over the Campsie Fells. The cafe is beautifully decorated, cosy and eclectic and they have their own hens for the eggs....right outside the door! Staff were friendly, service good. Will be back.
