Regular bar which I thought was a bit pricey. Thought staff could have been bit more friendly / cheerful. Never had food so cant comment re menu etc. What I will say the interior of the place is second to none. Well worth a visit for a couple of drinks and take in the decor of the place.

Visited at the end of a long shopping day in a freezing Glasgow. Hot whiskey and hot port being badly needed. Unfortunately the friendly bar person did not really know how to make either and had to be talked through the process. No cloves were available for the whiskey so that was a definite disappointment. A bit of staff training... More

Dropped in here on a couple of occasions while visiting Glasgow and thoroughly enjoyed this pub. Lots of little seating areas and bars, good selection of craft ales and friendly service. Fantastic atmosphere.

I visited this pub with a friend for a post work drink and meal before catching our trains. Interesting location and nice surroundings with lots of neuks and crannies, and lovely staff. However my steak sandwich was, in the vernacular, bowf. I could have soled my shoes with it. Could do better on the food front.

Regarding drinks and etc it's just a regular bar, which can be even a little overpriced in some regards. However, its interior is simply amazing. I constantly see myself suggesting this place to people that come from abroad. It's worth visiting this place for a pint at least once to appreciate its beautiful interior wooden maze.

Dropped in to watch rugby on big screen - as advertised. Main bar was busy so went upstairs and requested they show it there too. Got a very frosty response and a cold shoulder. Back down stairs and off to basement bar surprised by a surly response to pointing out a wrongly fulfilled beer order and asking for what I... More

Very busy full of character set over 3 floors. Quirky and different. Sharing platters lush. Wasn't expensive to drink or eat . Great location right next to hotel

An idiosyncratic place where you feel you might bump into a Hobbit or two. Sort of Gothic in concept but ultimately sells very ordinary beers and pub food, good to visit but there are so many better places for interesting drink and food. Glasgow has so much to offer that this touristy place is out of character in a city... More
