Arrived after getting lost as taxi driver sent us up the wrong street, once in Byres Road its opp Ashton Lane there's a wee sign on the wall at Ruthven Lane then a short walk. A very busy place, yes its small, no its not fancy, no posh tables and chairs, but it is a great wee place, friendly staff,... More

We happened on the Hanoi Bike shop early one Sunday evening, so were lucky to get a table. It soon filled up. As it serves street food the staff explained that the food would arrive as and when it was ready. However, ours arrived all at once. Not an issue you'd think, but the tables are tiny, and the staff... More

The food in this place is ok, but it does not taste Vietnamese. Now, I know it is generally a bit unfair to compare Vietnamese food in Europe to food in Vietnam - but... I feel that the staff in this place think very highly of themselves when it comes to thinking that they serve authentic Vietnamese food. That just... More

I've been meaning to try this place since a friend recommended it over a year ago. Found the food wonderfully fresh and interesting - having been very cosseted in 5* luxury on my only trip to Vietnam, I'd not really experienced street food there. The chicken drumsticks in a savoury honey (very) sticky glaze were particularly good in a messy... More

Loved our meal here. Last year we were lucky enough to holiday in Vietnam and teh food in this restaurant is right up there with what we had in Ho Chi Minh. The rice paper (fresh spring rolls) were superb as was the Chicken Pho and my husband had the pork belly dish which i never would have chosen and... More

Quirky location and trendy decor which matches the taste of the restaurant. Service is friendly but the wait for food can be painfully slow. Prices are extremely high too unfortunately considering the portion sizes and the concept of 'street food'. 2 spring rolls were around £5 iirc? Food itself was okay but everyone was still hungry after spending a small... More

A good addition to the thriving Byres Road area of Glasgow. Staff friendly and helpful, prices a little high considering this is cheap 'street food'...I had Pho, which should be a staple and the best dish in any Vietnamese noodle shop, sadly, mine was disappointing. With Pho, its all about the stock. The serving I had, seemed to be pre-prepared... More

Our group of 3 had a superb evening at the Hanoi Bike Shop. The food is fantastic, the staff very helpful and friendly, and the cocktails rather tasty. Looking forward to going back again.

I am not one to write reviews on restaurants but this merits it! We are just back from what will be our third visit, our first was way last year and although we liked the whole feel and theme of the Hanoi bike shop and the staff were fantastic the food was not great last year. We decided to give... More

First visit here, food very tasty in the main although found the honey chicken (legs) a bit bland. All other dishes we ordered - as well as ice cream and syrup soaked cake to finish were really good. Staff were very pleasant and friendly. Unfortunately as the evening wore on - so did the cooking fumes which seemed to be... More
