We popped in here without a reservation. We were told we cold have a table for only an hour which suited us fine as we had a show to see in the nearby Hydro. The service was excellent, our food was lovely and we couldn't fault it. We both had soup for starters and this was hearty and wholesome. (... More

We chose the seafood tempura starter to share. We could easily have each chosen a portion of it as a main course. It was delicious. Very friendly staff and obviously lots and lots of regulars. Not the cheapest but lovely food.

Booked for the second time in a couple of months. We don't stay in Glasgow, so we wouldn't take the time to travel if it was anything less than good. The restaurant is not the biggest, and can feel a bit squashed depending on what table you are given. It doesn't detract from the food and special offer on Fridays,... More

We went to Piccolo Mondo on the off chance & luck was on our side. It was very busy Saturday service but luckily someone cancelled last minute! We had a nice prawn cocktail & Fritto Misto which was great. The mains were a mixture of pasta, chicken & Veal. All the meals were a good size and very tasty. All... More

Two of us for a two hour lunch during the week. We had the two course lunch fir £14.50. Prawn cocktail and cod mornay. Delicious. Could have had three courses and glass of wine for £18.50. Great service. Lovely food and attentive staff. The pre theatre menus also great value. Busy so you will probably need to book.

We called in, without booking, after having had this restaurant recommended to us. Although very busy, a table was found for us after about 10 mins. Staff very friendly, accommodating and attentive. Food and wine was fabulous. The ambience and decor are superb. Recommended to other guests upon returning to our hotel.

I visited the Piccolo Mondo as part of a group of fifteen celebrating an particular career milestone. With this large group, I can forgive the restaurant for splitting us across two tables, although I suspect that had they not put us in the curtained alcove, they would easily have been able to put together sufficient tables in the main dining... A real find, perhaps the best UK Italian restaurant I have come across and extremely good value for money. An excellent menu and wine list.
