This was our first visit here and we left very happy. The restaurant is lovely inside with views across the river and plenty room between the tables. Very clean too and spotless toilets as well. We were using our trusty Tesco vouchers so the food...More

Arrived for a late supper for husband's birthday. Maitre d' very apologetic, was waiting for folk still sitting at our table with a river view to vacate. Promptly served two glasses of complimentary prosecco! Surprised and delighted. Had to wait a little while, not a...More

Busy on a wet Tuesday evening. Lively atmosphere. Large menu, but limited range of meat & fish dishes. Great bruschetta. Interesting "hanging skewer" of chicken & veg with very tasty salad.

Hubby and I went to Zizzi's on Saturday, 7 April. From the moment we arrived we were looked after by a lovely waitress (sadly I didn't catch her name). The ft, as always, was wonderful. Freshly cooked and absolutely delicious! 15/10! We've be to Zizzi's...More

Had a lovely meal here. Our waiter (Chris) was very helpful even on a very busy evening. What I really liked is that once you were served, you were left to enjoy your meal without having to answer the question of "How is your meal?"....More

Sadly we only had half a good meal here. The starters were lovely and clear that time had been taken to make them but both our main courses were really bland tasting. The fact that they came out 5 minutes after our starters were cleared...More

Lunch with kids was fine - decent children's menu is much appreciated! On the minus side, I think the low ceiling makes this branch really noisy. Salads were nice but could have done with a bit more dressing or balsamic to give it more zip....More

Description
At Zizzi we like to do things a little differently. We don’t do over-complicated recipes or scrimpy portion sizes. We’re all about the well-chosen ingredients, simply put together to make exceptional Italian food.Zizzi Inverness is truly one of the most stunning restaurants we have. One elevation is all glazed floor to ceiling - giving diners a truly amazing view of the river. Four local themes have been the inspiration behind the design of the new restaurant: the historic River Ness, boats, whisky distilleries and the Highlands. A large wooden ceiling raft that is splintered at one end to replicate old boats, light fittings that look like buoys and a rope and pulley feature in the window. The contour lines of the Highlands and Lowlands are detailed through Ordnance Survey maps on the ceiling, whilst copper pipes throughout the restaurant give a nod to the famous distilleries.Dine al fresco with an outdoor dining area for sunny weather.
