Great food. Friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely go again if we make it back to Inverness. Nice selection of beers and scotch.

Fantastic food but it was the staff that made it such a lovely efficient experience. For such a big group all of our food came out together, it was very tasty and the staff were fantastic at making sure we all had a drink and our food was what we had expected.

The food was great and the service was wonderful. Lovely place to hang out with friends. Special soup was mushroom soup and it was very good. The portions are very big. Didn't have any cocktails but the ale was good.

We stopped here for lunch during a 4 day cycle tour. The staff were very friendly and professional, and the food was some of the best we had during our trip. Well worth a visit!

This was the closest pub to our B&B but it was also the best food we had in Inverness. The prices were very reasonable and the quality of the food was out of this world. The haggis, neeps and tatties were hands down the best I had the entire 10 days we were in Scotland.

Stopped for a pint and decided it was time for a pub style dinner rather than the fancier meals we'd had so far. Great decision. My husband has eaten salmon every day and said this was the best. I had fish and chips - actually substituted onion rings-fresh, light, and delicious. Fun atmosphere and friendly service. We ate in the... More

Very nice welcome, as the place was packed last Sunday. Even if asked to come an hour later, we got a great window table in 20 mins. The haggis was as good as promised and the list of whiskys to try was impressive. Truly a must do in tradition! Great service and welcome

Think this is definitely one of the best quality and value meals in Inverness. The Lamb Shank at £11.95 was mouth watering and my wife had their venison special which was superb. Soup of the day at £3.20, obviously an outlet not looking to rip people off. 1st time I've eaten in the Tavern although my wife has been a... More

Great Scottish pub with fantastic views of Inverness Castle. Charming wee beer garden and friendly staff. The food was lovely and fresh and there was a good choice of real ales. Definitely coming back.

We enjoyed an excellent dinner at Castle Tavern. I had the Mussels which were so delicious I wanted to lick the bowl clean - and certainly did use the bread served along side to get as much of it as possible. I also enjoyed dessert... banoffee with a side of scrumptious cream. I would go back again and again if... More
