Velocity is a bright and contemporary little café situated just above Inverness Town Centre & High Street. Even if you're a meat-eater, it's fully vegetarian menu will NOT disappoint. I personally recommend the Huevos Rancheros (my go-to order every visit) which packs a punch in...terms of its rich flavour, while my partner recommends the Breakfast Burrito but usually switches out the spiced aubergine for halloumi instead. Everything on the menu is cooked while you wait, so not only is it as fresh as it gets but also fully customisable. There is a lovey community vibe to the place, with a mural by local artist Phoebe Rose stretched across all the walls, and an attached bike repair area. There is also a useful community board full of flyers so that you can be in-the-know about even the most underground happenings. Their sweet treats are also tasty - the lemon-drizzle is simply delicious. The café is constantly buzzing, so be sure to arrive early to snag a seat. P.S. it's dog-friendly!More

Excellent vegan Beet salad - generous portion and loads of flavour and colour. Full of avocado , hummus, beetroot nuts quinoa and salad leaves. Followed by very good coffee and a homemade bakewell slice.

I would say " this place is amazing, that's it, that's the review" but TripAdvisor understandably wants you to write more. If it is busy you might not be able to sit because it is not too big. The food was great and the stuff...super friendly and helpful. I loved reading in the boards everything they have going on or participate of. There should be more places like this everywhere.More

Delicious creative vegetarian & vegan food (with lots of gluten free options) in a fun place. Open Sunday mornings at 10 which made it great for some breakfast before my trip. I had the vegan breakfast which had sweet potato, mushrooms, spinach, avocado, scrambled tofu....Would love to come back here!More

We have been here previously for brunch and it was nice. So when we were in the area again we decided to go back. Unfortunately we left rather disappointed. My husband ordered the Velocity Cooked Breakfast which he found rather underwhelming. Hot chocolate was nice...but the coffee was just ok. The bill was very expensive for what we had so we won't be returning.More

had a lovely brunch with my family here. my daughter has an egg and dairy allergy and the staff were very accommodating. staff were incredibly friendly and really knew the menu and had lots of things to recommend. especially recommend the vegan breakfast and burrito,...both outstanding! they also had a great vegan cake selection made in the café as well. really enjoyed our visit and will definitely be back.More

Sadly, not as gluten free as they claim to be. I've eaten here several times before without any issues, but this time was not good. I ordered the breakfast burrito, and asked if they could make it gluten free, which they said they could do....The food arrives and again I check with the waitress that it's gluten free, she said yes it is. Fast forward two hours and I'm throwing up the customer toilets jn the shopping mall. I have coeliac disease, so eating gluten makes me very sick. This is the inyl thing I had eaten all day so it couldn't have been anything else. Don't claim the food to be gluten free when it's not!!!More

Great cafe serving brunch all day. The halloumi brioche bun was amazing and the tea was served in lovely vintage teapots. Staff were really friendly.

We were staying close by to this cafe, and it was wonderful to have it on our doorstep. Friendly staff and delicious food, with excellent vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options.
