On a stormy night, we found good whisky, good beer, and hearty Scottish fare to warm us for the walk back to our hotel. Maria was delightfully helpful with menu suggestions (Try the Balmoral chicken!) and we enjoyed a relaxing evening. Thanks to Barry, our...More

The pub here is lovely & welcoming, it has a lovely atmosphere & friendly staff. Food is very basic & the kids menu is pretty awful; chicken nuggets, fish fingers, everything with chips. The quality of adult food isn't great nor is it cheap. The...More

We went in on a Monday night to find another couple eating and a silent man propping up the bar. Apart from this it was deserted. This was our first mistake. We were greated by the bar lady and told that they had NO real...More

Really good meals in the restaurant upstairs, large portions, comfy clean seating, table service. If you're lucky you'll get a view of the water too. Friendly staff quick to clear tables for customers waiting on the stairs.

We popped in here during a tour stop off. We ordered the jacket potato with tuna/mayo and it was a lukewarm microwave job and pretty bland. Staff were friendly and accommodating despite the busy period.

Someone else put it better: lovely view from the restaurant but quite average food. I ordered a roast dinner and the quantity was generous. It was also fairly well-presented and tasted fine. There wasn’t much to complain about! My dessert (lemon meringue pie) was less...More
