Low grade pub grub at best. Went on recommendations and had better at motorway stops which we know are bad

We chose the Tavern because it was was still open at 9:30pm. I had fish and chips and my husband had a beef pie. Both were tasty and the service was quite good.

Hit and miss. The veggie lasagne looked fine but the accompanying salad was a little sad looking. I had the lamb which tasted fine but was far too fatty and the mash a bit lumpy. Service was good though.

We had a few issues tonight but they were dealt with superbly by the management and waiting staff. Tempura prawns were delicious and the bruschetta was tasty too. All food arrived very quickly and red hot.
