We enjoyed a beautiful dinner here on our 30th Wedding Anniversary, the staff were very friendly and attentive shown us to a lovely window seat over looking the Loch. Romantic way to close our day, to watch the settings sun following a delicious meal with a glass of Port on what was a special occasion for us.

Booked this restaurant for our arrival in Fort William based on our hosts suggestion from our B&B at the Treetops. It did not disappoint. Located right on the waterfront, in fact over it, as it is on a dock. Fantastic views only added to the very courteous and attentive service. Started with the mussels and they were stunning in a... Oh my God its been 15 years since we last visited this restaurant and it is still top notch. The food is gorgeous. I had the catch of the day langoustines so delicious along with the mussels to start. Fantastic view from the restaurant watching a pair of otters playing in the water right in front of us. It really... More

When in Fort William on holiday we try to visit the Crannog for a special meal. This holiday was no exception and it did not disappoint, the food was exceptional, service too was wonderful plus the setting looking down the Loch memorable. On the down side it is very expensive but that's why it was a special occasion.

We were driving past and thought to drop by for a cup of tea, but we were refused service by the hostess because they "don't just serve tea - for that you can go to a kiosk".

Visited here for a family early evening meal on a Saturday - 4 adults and 2 young children. The service was very friendly & professional and the food was delicious - a great range of fish dishes, both on the 'Specials' board and the standard menu. We had lovely mussels, halibut, hake, etc. and everything was cooked to perfection! A... More

A great disappointment considering it's #2/55 restaurants at fort William. The langoustines were fairly fresh. Only one or two were big and firm while the rest were small and marshy. The baked cod has no sweetness and moist and lack taste to the cooking. The oysters as starter, nothing to rave about. Marinated sea trout barely memorable.

We visited The Crannog two years ago. It was excellent then and is the same now. So good. Not cheap but you certainly get what you pay for. Very attentive but not intrusive service. Well worth a visit.

Really impressed with this place. Food and service was great. More expensive than alternatives in Fort William but worth it.
