My hubby and I had lunch here for the first time, and we will be back ! The potato and leek soup was the best we have ever had. Both our main courses (fish /chicken with haggis) were SO SO GOOD. Well done Chef !...More

The woodburning stove makes for a welcome sight on a cold January day. We had the Cullen Skink which was very disappointing.. a thin milky soup made up mostly from potatoes and not much smoked haddock.. at £6.50 per portion, not very good value

Lovely old fashioned pub, cosy fire and friendly staff. Try the chips, they were fab! Vegetarian main was a bit disappointing. The menu we were given was different to the one I'd looked at online which was disappointing as I'd made my choice and was...More

The location is delightful and the food is quite good but this place still suffers from being badly managed. There were four of us. Three starters arrived together, one came some time later. One person ordered a cappuccino after the meal; it never arrived. When...More

A wonderful selection of traditional Scots fare. Cooked and presented in wholesome and friendly manner. Skullen Skunk is superb! The Tavern is very local and retains all all the atmosphere and welcome to be expected in the Highlands of Scotland. Cannot be faulted, and very...More

Dogs are really welcome in the bar, not the restaurant. We never found it a problem at all, in fact the bar was quieter and cooler as it has French doors to the patio.
