So you take the dog on the east beach and meander past the harbour, check out the boats and just across, is Basil. Excellent for coffee and tea. They have a specials board and you can't go wrong. Great place to sit outside although it can be cold. Enjoy the view and the coffee.

Cosy and friendly refuge from a bracing January stroll on the beach. Delicious food from an extensive menu served up by friendly and welcoming staff.

Basil offers excellent homemade soup, fish and chips, bacon sandwiches ( with or without black pudding, and daily specials for meat eaters too. My favourite is the Cullen Skink, and my only criticism is that while those choosing "White bread" get a warmed ciabatta, those asking for "brown" get a rather boring slice of sliced brown bread. The best thing... More

Love going here for coffee. Small cafe but the coffee is good as are the scones and the staff are lovely - can be a bit squashed for space but worth it!. Dog comes in as well so that makes it great for me as I don't tie my dog up outside.

We went here a couple of times for lunch while refurbing a nearby property. The cafe is small but very popular so tables may be difficult to find, but they also do a takeaway service. The staff are very kind and friendly and dogs are welcome. For such a small cafe the menu is extensive and their Cullen skink is... More

Very nice little café, food was good and fast. Prices were fine just a wee bit tight with seating! Worth the visit.

Lovely friendly place. GREAT coffee! And food is always delicious! The veggie breakfast is great - I was full all day afterwards. They also allow dogs!

Basil Harbour Café is a lovely little café on the seafront. Dogs very welcome and a nice choice of breakfasts. Great ambience with lots of people coming and going, clearly a popular choice. Met the owner's dad who has the most amazing dog. Lovely that dogs are welcome as we have two of our own. Now that we are moving... More
