Stayed here recently on business. Owners are lovely people who make you feel welcome. Unfortunately the hotel itself could do with some redecorating as it's a little dated and tired. Room was a single room and it did what it said on the tin. Small. Bed was comfortable enough and good WiFi connection. Didn't have an evening meal here. Breakfast... More

We booked a table for an early Birthday treat. Very cosy restaurant , the staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was wonderful, with a great choice on the menu. The portion size was huge ! We would highly recommend this wonderful family run restaurant.

We went to the Aurora whilst on holiday in Nairn after reading reviews on here. We had a lovely Italian meal and chatted to the friendly hosts. We would definitely return again if in the area.

The Aurora Hotel has a wonderful Italian restaurant with seating in a dining room and in a glassed in atrium type room. I sat in the atrium. Very pleasant atmosphere and very relaxing. I had a delicious meal - spaghetti with prawns and garlic bread. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Service was very good. Prices were very reasonable.... More

Motorists on the main road from Inverness to Aberdeen in the north of Scotland have to pass through the little town of Nairn on the Moray Firth. This is one long line of traffic and few will have the time to notice the Italian Restaurant of the Aurora Hotel. This is a pity as they are missing the opportunity to... More

Food was very good here. They were able to make my food without garlic, which is a plus for me. The chicken is good and my husband enjoyed the lasagna. The restaurant needs a little better physical maintenance work, but overall a very good meal.

Ok it is a bit tatty. When we entered our hearts dropped. Oh dear mistake. However room was beautifully clean. I was knackered and starving and ordered a starter and a main and for the only time I can ever recall this happening was told that it was too much and I'd never eat it all. Hey ho went with... More

Visited here while in business nearby. Stayed two nights in a single room in the attic. Small, but perfectly formed. TV, hospitality tray, cramped but functional bathroom en-suite and a nice big window. Very little noise through the night. Free parking for around 8 cars at the rear of the hotel too. Staff efficient & friendly. I'd return if I'm... More
