Our first impressions of the restaurant / Dining room was that it was a bit "Mumsyish" But we were pleasantly surprised by the quality as well as taste of the food. The Salmon Starter was absolutely amazing - so soft and so delicious! The rest of the meal as well as breakfast were also delicious.

We finished the end of our trip to Scotland with a meal at The Boath House! We had the tasting menu. The roe deer was amazing and the chocolate dessert was one of the best we've ever had! An enjoyable evening overall!

A evening spent child free, enjoying delicious food in friendly relaxed atmosphere. The service was attentive but non intrusive. The advice was welcomed for wine choice and proved to be amazing! Eating quality food and relaxing has to be good for you!

Beautiful building set in a picturesque garden. We were ushered into a drawing room where we were served with aperitifs. Menus were provided from where we could select one meal from the options available for each of the three courses. Once our starters were ready we were shown to our table overlooking the pond at the rear of the building.... More

Our second visit to Boath house on Linda's birthday was as outstanding as our first, the dishes were fascinating with subtle flavours and textures bursting on the palate. The staff were polished and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. It is rapidly becoming my new favourite restaurant!

Visited Boath House one sunny day for afternoon tea with a friend. We were aware of the expense £22.50 each prior to going but thought we would treat ourselves to a bit of luxury in a lovely old house. A pleasant young man showed us in to the lounge where we were shown a menu. We could choose one sandwich... More

If you can't stay at Boath House, at least come for dinner. It's a fantastic atmosphere. Romantic, relaxing, lovely design aesthetic. Excellent wine list. Worth the drive.

We ate in the restaurant while staying in the hotel. We had ordered our meal earlier (the primary choice is the three-course meal or the six-course taster, both fixed menus, but I am sure that they will change things if it not all to your taste), but were asked again while we had drinks and canapes, and ordered wine to... My partner and I visited the restaurant for my 30th birthday on a trip from Brighton. We were the only people dining that lunch sitting which was amazing- a private dining experience! All food was faultless and dietary requirements were no problem at all. Nothing but good things to say about the food. Generous portions too. Lovely ambience in the... More
