Lennox's has always been superb and blessed with friendly staff. I hadn't been in ages and met a friend for a quick bite to eat. I decided to grab a burger and chips and he had fish and chips. The foods as good as ever and they zip through the queue quickly. Always worth a visit and one of the... More

Living away from Ireland makes you miss the obvious things, family, friends and a Lennox's dinner during the week. You never quite get the same satisfaction from a UK takeaway as a Cork one and Lennox's is a staple of the Cork culture at this point. Make mine a Jackie deluxe and a potato pie!

Staying in an airbnb...asked the host to recommend a fish and chips place and without hesitation he suggested j lennox's. Pat told us how to queue up and in...they still could detect novices from a mile away and but accomdated us nicely. We ate outside and enjoyed every morsel even if we could not finish the fries. Next we will... More

Popped in here again a couple of times during our last visit. These folks truly know what they're doing service-wise...it's a really well-run place. I'm not overly keen on the chips because they seem only just cooked to me - I would prefer them crispier - but almost all the chips we got anywhere in Ireland were like that so... More

Fantastic may seem like an overused word.....but it really is the only way to describe the food. In and out in five with line ups....last chip tasted as good as the first and the fish was as good as I have ever had.

We had seen this shop mentioned on a Cork travel video and decided to walk here from Kent train station. It was worth the long walk up the hill. We each ordered fish and chips and got huge portions of haddock and chips. It was excellent. Everything was so hot we had to wait a bit for it to cool,... More
