My last review of Yuan Ming Yuan was 3 years ago. Since my last review nothing has changed, the staff are all lovely and contrary to another review they all speak English there. Most if not all the staff are Chinese or of Chinese descent but I feel this adds to restaurant and makes the experience more authentic. Also, I... More

The food was terribly bad and the staff had such bad English it was impossible to communicate with them. Even when we found someone who understood they really did not care. We would not go back even if we were starving!!!!

nicerthan your average Chinese. Not outstanding, but enjoyable enough. Good service staff wise. Not too much of a fan on their desserts but otherwise, can't complain.. As in, I you're expecting a tke-away it's good.

This restaurant is simply outstanding and the best Chinese food I have ever eaten. It is so good that Chinese people eat there which is always a good sign The meals are large but you never feel stuffed which is sure sign that there is no MSG.

Ice wasn't cold . Quite expensive . They do not know the heritage of Chinese food . Only lit one of two... More

I'm afraid I fall into the minority of people who found this restaurant disappointing. My recent visit here to avail of the take away service was terrible to say the least. Whilst the interior itself is charming in it's authenticity, the menu is enticing and we were greeted by friendly staff the food did not live up to my expectations.... More

Went here based on reviews of TA. Didn't look much at menu. Just asked for their recommendation. Had Dim Sum with lovely Dumplings. Very nice staff, very helpful and knowledgeable. Very good value too.

I've eaten here before and the food has always been good but tonight proved it's worth. I never looked at the menu. Just asked the waiter for Chinese option and to include Dim sum. Deep fried dim sum, chicken and Sweetcorn Soup and Sea Bass in Batter with garlic, chillies, spring onion, peppers and a special Chinese sauce. I can't... More
