Ate here of a sunday morning. Very poor experience. Food slopped onto plate-1 rasher, 1 pudding, 1 sausage, a poached egg and sourdough toast, no presentation of the food whatsoever. Food was cold. There are definitely nicer places for breakfast in cork.

The Castle Cafe is one cafe from my personal choice nearby my own place. I like the area, where is place located, beautiful harbour, cosy atmosphere inside and tasty meal. I really like a coffee with a fresh pastry. Just pop up and check, hopefully everyone would delighted this cafe same as me

The food was beautiful and fresh .although the restaurant was very busy the staff didn't make you feel rushed. They were very friendly .I will be recommending this to all my friends .

lovely location and nice venue. friendly floor staff...food was disappointing. we had the bean dish and the corn cakes. both lacked flavour and our eggs where well done. We where not the only table with over cooked eggs as we could see the tables next to us also received well done eggs. Maybe the chef should consider buying a egg... More

I had a lovely evening meal here on Friday with a big group of friends. I had the wild boar which was lovely and a friend had the lamb tagine which was gorgeous. We were offered a taste of several different wines as we were unsure what to choose. Very happy with the service and atmosphere. There was a big... More

Arrived one Saturday about 11:30am, not expecting a table as it was so busy and we were given a table for four (two of us) by the window, it was coming up to lunch time so I think people were finishing breakfast, how and ever we had a lovely table and view. Very comfortable, very noisy though but buzzing so... More

I was driven to write this review immediately after the poor experience my wife and i had in this restaurant this evening Jan the 22nd. Despite the quality of the food served we left with a sense of bitter disappointment at our treatment and would be slow to return as a result. Firstly it appears the restaurant is overcharging customers.... More
