Having read a glowing review in the Irish Examiner, my sister and I were really looking forward to finally trying out the food in Crawford (we're both major foodies). While we both found the food really good I have to say my overall experience in the cafe was horrible. The woman who appeared to be the owner of the cafe... More

Delightful place for lunch in the heart of the city. There is plenty of choices on the menu at reasonable prices.

I have been living very close to this place for 3 years and never came before to the café inside. That's a shame! But it is now fixed. This place serves awesome food and bakes yummy cakes. You won't get a large portion but normal sized breakfast. The quality was top notch. I tried the Eggs Benedict and I recommend

I had read a glowing review of this restaurant by Jack Power in the Irish Examiner I was expecting great things of their breakfast. Unfortunately it did not live up to expectations. Chipolatas rather than plump sausages, no beans just a tomato, thin slices of black and white pudding and just one small tea cup of coffee were presented.

Really atmospheric room buzzing with activity. We had a great lunch - simple food but presented so well. Great to get proper tea made with tea leaves. Good value for great food. Will be my go to lunch stop when in cork.....

The breakfast in the Crawford Gallery Cafe is first class. There's a good selection of dishes and they are expertly cooked with service to match. The dining room is comfortable and it obviously enjoys good support from diners. The only drawback is the location of the rest rooms two floors above the cafe although there is an elevator.

Art galleries are generally located in nice buildings in attractive areas and the Crawford in Cork is no exception. As a rule of thumb Gallery restaurants are often of a high standard and are just very pleasant places to frequent. This one has served Cork well for generations and like a fine wine it seems to improve with age. The... More

Set in Cork's old Custom House in a back room of the gallery, this café serves the best of traditional Irish food using local ingredients. At noon I went in for a brunch/early lunch and got devilled kidneys on toast with a pot of tea. To my great pleasure the tea was made with real leaves....not some overpriced hipster tea... More

Went there for tea after visiting the gallery. Asked the waitress jokingly for Barrys best loose tea. Surprise a fine pot of Barrys best landed on our table. Could not be beaten.
