I have been there once but never again. For all the praises that I heard this was the most disappointing dinner. I am not picky with my food but this was the place where I could not finish my dishes. I had a beetroot salad and a duck leg. The salad was tasteless and the leg was fat and dry... More

My husband and I went here recently for a special meal. It was very quiet which meant we got great service. I had the prawn starter and it was amazing, huge succulent prawns in batter with a really tasty, unusual sauce. I had the duck for mains, which was lovely, although we definitely needed the extra veg we ordered, at... More

We had a full 3 course meal which was excellent, especially the main courses (beef fillet and pork belly). Nice staff and atmosphere too. The only fault is the very dull lighting which made the room look very drab and made it hard to appreciate the appearance of the food

Four of us were booked in to Les Gourmandises for a special occasion meal. It was my first time dining in this French style restaurant. The others had been there previously. The place was buzzin when we arrived. I wasn't exactly bowled over by the general decor, but when the general ambiance is positive many peccadilloes can be overlooked. We... More

Always look forward to an evening at this eatery. Hostess always charming and gives great advice on wine selection. Food never fails to deliver on consistent quality beautifully served. Not cheap by any means but worth it for that special occasion

This was a real eating experience and we enjoyed the fantastic meal. Good menu choice and I liked the Tapas menu for 2 people and choice of main course with glass of wine . We had the 2 course menu and we were not dissapointed this was truly a gret meal and will return when visiting Cork in the near... More

We went here for dinner last night. The menu was very diverse and it was hard to pick what to eat. We started with the chefs choice which was a selection of seafood. Presentation was impeccable and really tasty. For main I got the lamb which was so tender. The staff were really friendly. The only bad point was the... More

A truly wonderful restaurant. Excellent delicious food, with a French flair and of a very high standard. (The Foie Gras is amazing!) Fabulous wines served perfectly, professionally & with flair. Friendly, efficient staff. A gem in Cork city. The perfect treat for any occasion.

After putting it on the long finger for ever and ever, we finally ate here last October. Overall, pretty impressed with the food. It's not crazy expensive but it's certainly not cheap and is at the upper end of the Cork dining scene (at least for us). The food did mostly justify this but parts of the premises did look... More

My wife and I dined there on New Years Eve. Food and service was excellent but price at €65 per person for 3 course meal was unexpectedly expensive.
