Recommended by our hotel (Hayfield Manor) for our last meal in Cork. Very large (two floors) restaurant that doesn't take reservations but we only had a 15 minute wait for a table for two. The food was very reasonably priced and the quality very good. I had the ham hock cooked with red cabbage and a gratin of turnips, potatoes... More

Market lane really leaves the other cork restaurants behind from what I experienced last night.Other restaurant owners from the area should be made dine here to see the standard being set in cork. Although it was very busy the staff handled the crowd excellently and without a hicup. The server at the door was very polite and offered us seats for... More

Hake and the beet root carrot boxy with a hint of horseradish is truly delicious. We did not have reservations but with a drink at the bar, were seated in under 10 minutes.

Visited this resto in my first trip in Ireland after 8 years. Still good and VERY busy. A little confused with my lamb dish which ended being like a genuine Thai meal. Short list menu (classic high-end restaurant), each dish i think is unique in this area.

Staff super friendly, really good food and reasonable prices Place has a great buzz, so great for friends night out. We didn't have a booking but just 20 minute wait at the bar. Portions are quite big, so shared starter and mains more than enough. Nice wine choice - went with staff recommendation which was really good. Will definitely be... More

I've eaten here about 5 times, and each time was happy. You cannot book a table, so often when we arrive we have a 20 or 30 min wait - fine if we can go for a drink... Since a family member was diagnosed as a coeliac last year we have been searching for places the whole family can eat,... More

Had lunch here on Saturday. It has been a long time since we dined in Market Lane and we were both delighted that we decided to return. The restaurant is modern with a lively atmosphere. There is a lovely bar area where they also serve cocktails. The service was very friendly, helpful and efficient. The food was really delicious. We... More

Market Lane is an award winning restaurant and bar over two floors that offers great food, amazing value and friendly service always. Where possible we use ingredients from The English Market and local artisan producers to make up our menu which has a wide range of fish, salads, meat, game and sandwiches, in addition to coeliac and vegetarian dishes and a healthy kids menu. We brew our own beer next door, have a coffee blend exclusive to us and use herbs from our greenhouse. Take a virtual tour or make a booking on our website.
