Excellent food and service at a reasonable price. The pub had famous beers as well as the local Donegal brews. The location was convenient with parking a block away. The Castle Inn was historic and cozy. The Castle Inn was the stable for the castle across the street at one time.

Don't worry there are plenty of them around the inn. The menu offered a great variety and selection and we decided... More

Very cool old stone building, just across the street from Donegal Castle. The mood in the restaurant is very pleasant. We had a great food and great wine. There were several specials the evening that we dined there. I had the fish special which was quite good.

We decided to find a restaurant serving fish and although apparently more expensive than other restaurants it appeared to fit the bill. We had to wait while a table was vacated. It is a bit gloomy. Smoked salmon starter was huge even when shared. My wife's fish and chips was declared excellent. My crab rolls were a large portion, but... More

Following a sunny Easter Sunday this was a very welcome find, Castle Inn as it was located very close to the centre of town which was an amazing plus being weary from travelling all day and not taken time to eat since early. Great atmosphere and lovely old world decor. Very welcoming staff and great food. Overall a very positive... More

The crowded restaurant had a nice atmosphere and the food was satisfactory but not spectacular. The service was somewhat slow (perhaps because the staff was fawning over a youngster at a table near by).

Excellent menu and food of a high quality, prices are very reasonable. Eating in the restaurant upstairs or the bar downstairs, the food is the same fantastic quality and the staff very friendly... Good find!
