Had dinner with my folks here last night. Service was great and the food was fab! I had the Turmeric spiced chicken with Mango, Lime and ginger, toasted pistachios and coriander yoghurt dressing for starters - was delicious! My parents had the pan fried lambs kidneys and thoroughly enjoyed them! Had the fillet steak for my main which was very... More

Odell's for dinner in late sept, a big group, 19 of us for dinner. A pre dinner drink across the road in fitzgeralds always good and the restaurant let us know when they were ready for us. Had a great night there. The presentation and quality of the food from head chef Johnny Waddell was fantastic, he came out to... More

I've review Odells before and also gave it a positive review then. Since the last review, they have revamped the decor and changed the menu, and made the experience better. Great value, great food and great service, will keep us coming back to one of our favourites in this area.

Found this idyllic bistro while escaping a sudden down pour. Sopping wet I was still greeted with a warm welcome. My surprise was compounded by delight at the quality of the meal. Tucked away in this sleepy little seaside town, the bistro offers a cozy and quiet atmosphere for an intimate meal. The food was delicious, with a nice presentation,... More

What a delightful little restaurant we found when we walked into O'Dells. Right from the start we were made very welcome. The decor is lovely and the music set a lovely mood and a great ambience. The finishing touch was the amazing food, Cooked to perfection and you could tell it was just really fresh honest food, cooked by someone... More

We recently had a dinner here for the first time after living in the area for over 5 years, we simply never noticed it! It's located across Fitzpatricks pub in Sandycove but as it's on the first floor it's not the easiest place to spot! We chose the early bird menu which at Euro 22,- is an absolute steal, and... Went back again to Odells. Not as famous as Cavistons but nice comfortable restaurant. They have redecorated it very well. The service was slow and the choice was limited (sorry we had a busy weekend so one pork and one lamb available) but worth waiting for the food. The Sicilian bake and the carrot soup were both excellent. The pork... More

Myself and my wife dropped in to ODells last night, for a quick bite after being in Dublin meeting friends. We had four starters (lambs kidneys, thai chicken salad, goats cheese and garlic prawns) and they were all delicious. The sauces in particular were out of this world. The owner/chef, John, has just renovated the restaurant himself and the place looks... More

Great food, good prices, quality music playing at a nice low volume. Try it once and you will go back.
