Quaint, traditional Irish local. Arrived at "peak" lunch time, so had to pay for parking, just a little walk away. Beautiful waitress (owner I think), insisted on giving complementary tea as compensation for not being able to get free parking. Soup of the day, beef...More

I have been to Kavanagh's maybe three times, the most recent time being this month (August 2017). I am an aficionado (OK, fan) of traditional Dublin pubs. I am a Toner's/Kehoe's/Long Hall etc. type of guy. But Kavanagh's has now won my heart over -...More

Make sure you go here. The pub is a fantastic pub, with emphasis on pub: no games machines and no recorded music (at least during the day when I was there). This is a place for conversation and drink. It's a local. The pub interior...More

One of the most traditional Irish pubs that I have ever been. Great food with very good prices. Don't miss the tapas selection. Cheers from Greece!

First: visit the Botanical Gardens. Then go to this pub and have a Guiness and a real Irish lunch with a stew or a bowl of 'coddle' (a soup with patato, sausage and pork). Enjoy the food and the relaxed atmosphere :-)

Went to Dublin with my brother to watch a band and sample the guiness. By far the most authentic and friendly place we visited all weekend

This was a real find. The place was packed when we arrived with a real buzz. We had to wait a bit for a table but with great beer and atmosphere that wasn't a problem and it was worth it for the food when it...More

Visit the cemetery, then come to this pub and restaurant: Of all the Guinness I had in Ireland, this place had the best AND the pub has a story of a hatch in the wall where the grave diggers from the cemetery would put their...More
