Whenever we are in Dublin this is one of our two favourite restaurants. It is one of the most dependable restaurants I know and we have visited as a couple and with family / friends and have never been disappointed. It is a very welcoming...restaurant with a warm and cozy atmosphere, the decor and general ambience adds to the sheer joy of eating here. As a vegetarian I always do well, I had Tempura Vegetables as a starter and the Vegetarian Yellow Curry as a main course with noodles. My wife had the Chicken Satay skewer as a starter and the Duck and crispy noodles aas a main course. We had Cobra beer with our meal and a sambuca as a digestive. We gave in to temptation and had a desert each - something we seldom do - I had the warm sticky toffee pudding and my wife had the chocolate brownie, both were excellent. It was a spectacular meal and one that will encourage us to find any excuse to return. The service , like the food, was first class and even as occasional diners here we felt very welcomed and that our custom was much appreciated. The staff are very accommodating and are more than happy to adjust dishes to suit individual tastes where possible. Thai restaurants don't get much better than this.More

I decided to try Chilli Banana because the name got my attention & their menu & reviews are great. My wife & I shared the “combination” starter which is a mix of satay skewers, ribs, spring rolls, calamari & filo prawns. This was a perfect...fun start of mouth watering eastern favourites for those like us who kinda want a bit of everything. Our mains were tantalising perfection & made us feel like we’d really gotten our bang for our buck with this restaurant. My wife had the Mango salad & I opted for the Red Curry. Outstanding food & service. We will be back or ordering online again soon. 👏👏More

Came here last night for dinner. Was a very pleasant experience. Staff are friendly but not intrusive. Place has a casual but cosy feel to it, unpretentious but upmarket. Food was absolutely delicious. I know thai food is generally very tasty but it is particularly...good here. I am vegetarian and there were lots of options, the tofu was good and firm too not squishy or soggy. Very reasonably priced too, I was surprised when the bill came out as I was expecting more. Cant wait to go back!More

We find ourselves drawn back to Chilli Banana whenever we visit Dublin. The reason of course is that both the food and the service are first class. The restaurant has a very nice atmosphere and is both cosy and intimate. We were impressed in the...way the Covid guidelines were being adhered to. We started with Tempura Vegetables which were very tasty, served with a sweet chilli sauce. My wife liked the look of a Seabass with lime and herb dish but requested that it be served milder than indicated on the menu - this was facilitated without fuss and she was delighted with her meal. I had a Thai Yellow Curry with vegetables and tofu - it too was very tasty. We both had noodles with our main course instead of rice, just for a lighter meal. A bottle of CIrculo Crianza at €25 represented great value and complemented the meal very well. To finish we had sambuca which came to the table flaming! All in all a really lovely dining experience.More

Went here for Valentines dinner. Had the early bird menu, which has a great choice of food on it. €21 for two courses is very cheap for Dublin too. Got a lovely bottle of wine to go with it and asked for the starters at...the same time as the mains, which was no problem for the staff. They were very attentive, friendly and helpful. The food was served quickly and the desserts were warm, which was amazing. Would definitely recommend a visit here.More

Booked for a Sunday evening while staying in the Skylon across the road. Booking was easy and we got a nice table close to the window. I had spicy salmon followed by chicken noodles. Both were not too hot but very tasty. Interesting menu with...many dishes for those who don't like it too hot. Nice range of bottled beers which are very cold. Staff were very friendly. Really enjoyed our visit here and would recommendMore

Having never been a fan of Chinese restaurants, this was no exception. There was a notice tucked away near the entrance stating that from 1 January 2019 vat has increased from 9% to 13%. This being my second visit this year, obliged by the family...to go along to keep them happy, the sign is still there. So a meal on the menu advertised at €17.20 again comes to €17.85 on the bill. Is it lawful for this form of deception to be continued? and will the practice continue into the New Year, meaning that the practice has taken place for one year.More

I don't know whether they serve chips but I think it would be unusual if they didn't. Their website doesn't mention a children's menu. The quickest way to get an answer would be to ring them.
