I visited Robert Readers recently, as a result of job interview being prolonged and I had missed my 2.oo p.m. bus from Bus aras , the main intercity station. I traipse in, found a nice snug, and decided to treat myself to lunch. The range of drink was extensive ( The HopHouse 13 a delight), and I partook of a... More

I used to work in Dublin, and every now and again, I pay my old workmates a visit. Trouble is, come December time, it's a bit tricky to get somewhere fairly close to the centre, where you can reserve an area for around 20-30 friends. Just across the road from Busaras (Central Bus Station), and 5 minutes' walk from O'Connell... More

Have had carvery lunch here a couple of times when working in the area. Nice big bar with lots of seats and tables. Food is good - typical lunchtime carvery with plenty of variety. Mains are around €10. Seems to get a good local trade with plenty of workers in for lunch. Staff really friendly and seem happy at their... More

A great little find. This bar does a fantastic Hendricks and Fever Tree. Prices are very reasonable and the bar staff are super friendly. You’ll find it right next to the Buraras (bus station).

Had a meal here recently and really enjoyed it. Food and presentation were excellent and the staff were very efficient. Prices were also reasonable and I would recommend.

We came here on Easter Sunday for lunch after watching the Rising parade, and I have to say it was great. The lunches, an Irish stew and a Bacon carvery were very tasty and the atmosphere of the place was fantastic. Get yourself away from Temple Bar and come out here. It's great

Not a bad bar, decent service decent menu and beer choice. Can't really fault it but it is just a standard boozer nothing exceptional but if you are in the area you could do worse .

To be honest, I have been going into Robert Reade's for years, the building I mean as it used to be Keating's Pub. For many years it was a good place to stop in before or after a long bus journey as it is right opposite Busaras, the central national bus station. Many's the time I used to have a... More
