Just dropped in to have lunch with a friend, the service was ok we had the steak sandwich...fair enough it was only 10 euro but if you put the other half of it on the plate people might be willing to spend more....Going to pay at the bar was an interesting experience the barman too busy trying to find a... Quick pint with some food but you get the impression they dont welcome people they dont know, especially irish. They seem a little suspicious; you wouldn't expect that in a city centre bar.

We stopped by for a couple of beers. We had tried a few pubs on the main avenue, but they were two crowded at the time, or looked too much of a bunch of stools and standees :). In any event, we just wanted a couple of beers and a place to a sit for a bit. Our wait staff... More

I had an appointment on Fitzwilliam lane and stopped in here for lunch on a Thursday lunch time. Pub was clean and staff friendly, food was very good value for money compared to lot of places that are available in the city centre. A filling lunch of burger with all the trimmings (chips, salad, bacon and cheese) and a diet... More

We eat here often, and I highly recommend the Sunday lunch, the bar and lounge area are really big once inside, plenty of room for a cosy couple or family (we've been both over the years) There's a great snug, fabulous smoking areas and real burning fires throughout Winter, spring and autumn, and sometimes summer because hey! this is Ireland.... Had our evening meal here in March 2016 just as the rugby was finishing. Lovely bottle of wind for 12 euros which was great value. Staff were lovely and the pub was very busy, in a great location it was a great find and will definately return on next visit to Dublin, could highly recommend it, food was fantastic too.

I was here with a group of friends before Christmas. Was very pleasantly surprised - food better than expected and service excellent. Good pre Christmas atmosphere too!

We went there on a Saturday night around 7ish. Staff were very welcoming and our family group were escorted to the snug which was quiet and comfortable. Attentive service along with good food and drink meant for a great evening. Recommended.

This year Mc Grattans celebrates it's 21st anniversary. It was originally known as a one of Dublin's most famous Restaurant's but in recent times it's become one of the cities best loved pub grub venues. Not only that there's the only beer-garden in the Baggot Street area, comfortable surroundings, a laid-back atmosphere and even a couple of pool tables.

The list of celeb's that have passed through Mc Grattans includes U2, Uma Thurmann, Oliver Reed, Pavarotti, in fact too many to mention. But it's not the kind of place to feel star-struck. It's one of the friendliest bars around with great areas for private parties and gatherings.

Mc Grattans not only does great value food and drink all week but at the weekends turns into a late night destination for some of the cities hippest party goers. A real gem that needs to be explored.
