What can I say about this place that hasn't already been said? My colleagues and I (many of whom are French) came here for food during a work night and couldn't have been happier, of the 10 people who sat down to eat, there were 10 people who left happy with full bellies. We had a range of starters, mains... More

Although we are french, the menu Chez Max seduced us to have a taste of what Dublin's French cuisine had to offer. It was delicious - from starter to desert including the cute decoration and cosy ambiance. Each server was so polite and helpful. Make sure to detour by this little French paradise in the heart of Dublin!

We had a lovely lunch at Chez Max. The menu has clearly marked gluten free options. Food and house wine (white) were delicious. Although it was crowded, we had no trouble getting a table at lunchtime without a reservation. Staff never rushed us. We were there for 90+ minutes. Prices are reasonable. Recommended!

France on Dublin's Baggot St is only way to describe Chez Max. Mussels, escargot...amazing steaks, all reasonable price wise...but do check out lunch and early bird specials...these are great if on a budget..(about 20 euro for two courses) Chats inside are as often in French as English...with genuine Paris street signs, post boxes and bicycles creating a great buzz. We... More

Always a good moment spent in Chez Max. Perfect spot for a weekend lunch after a visit to the museum. I went for the terrine as a starter and it's great to see a proper homemade one with decent pieces of meat. My partner had the goat cheese starter and it was very tasty. As main, we had the burger.... More

Popped in for lunch. Great Parisian style bistro menu. Food was fine and service was great all French staff. But the prices would have shames a restauranteur on the Camps Elysees.

This is my morning coffee place and after trying them all, its between Voila and Chez Max. All danishes pastries and sandwiches made inhouse. Good home made soups. Service by the French Staff is wonderful.

I've been here many times but unfortunately I think it's tired now. Menu hasn't changed in years. Staff are rude and come 11.30pm your an inconvenience they just want gone. Told upstairs closed for last drink yet a steady stream of French people and staff from other restaurants filing up the stairs. Give it a miss

Lovely seating upstairs with heating units so you can enjoy the roof terrace even in the winter. Food is delicious and French, seating is attractively layed out upstairs. It's good to book the terrace ahead at busy times, or go early. There is an Early Diner Special until 5:30 Friday and Saturday and until 7pm weeknights.
